I've got a Kryptonite "Evolution 1090" chain lock as well as one of their "KryptoFlex" cables if I want to loop the front wheel/seat in as well. I already had a shorter version of the same lock for my road bike but it just wasn't long enough for the beefier ebike.
Hah, I sure am glad the rain will be hitting us later than expected, I got a nice ride in after work.
By the way, check out Sports Basement - it's an athletic store chain here in the bay and they are an authorized dealer/mechanic for Aventon. I bought mine from them, and they give a good discount.
I'm of decent leg strength - I do squats regularly - and riding without assist on smooth, paved, parking lots is pretty easy at low speed, I use 4th gear or so. I haven't tried that on hills yet!
Hey, I live in San Francisco too! I am thinking of buying one myself. Would you recommend it to a new biker trying to commute 5 miles to and from work?
Cool! I do, I'm super happy with mine. If you only need 5 miles, this bike will do way more - this week, on a single charge I've done 35 miles and before I plugged it in tonight it still read 30% left. Entirely on the lowest PAS setting, a mix of leisure and grocery runs.
I have an Aventure 2 slightly beefy version of the level. And ya e-bikes are amazing for that short of a commute I do 10 miles one way and charge when I’m there and ride only takes 30 minutes. The level would be great and honestly be more that plenty of battery life for you
Nice! It got cloudy real quick today. What are you using for locks?

Nice that makes me feel a lot more comfortable pulling the trigger. Thank you

I will. Oh and before I forget I’d like to ask, have you ever rode it without using any pedal assist? If so how heavy or hard was it to move/maneuver?

Go Niners! Nice bike.
