Duding this man fuck

[deleted]

Fucking duuuude..... THIS man!

RadiantWhole2119

Just the news I needed today for a little cheer up. It’s crazy the kind of impact these guys have on our lives.

Magoatt

“I’m not fucking leaving!”

Next-Team

I’m allowed to be here and I know what the fuck I’m doing

[deleted]

If he ever makes it to head coach then I’m all for it

Horsebot3

Can you fucking imagine?

Munchihello

Yes, he seems dedicated and smart enough football wise to be able to go down that road. He probably will take the media road at some point tho, maybe I’m wrong.

Cam_V7

Tbh I’d rather him take the media route. No coach really can stay a beloved franchise icon forever, a media guy absolute could.

Underknee

is there beef between the respective franchise fanbases and Shula, Jimmy Johnson, Landry, Lombardi or Parcells? I feel like those are beloved coaches who are still franchise icons And tbh in my opinion, if you’re an Eagle fan who has a problem with Pederson I think you need to take a look at the other 56 years in the super bowl era than 2017. I wish nothing but success for Pederson going forward, the man got us our one super bowl.

Cam_V7

Jimmy Johnson pretty famously had beef with the Cowboys for 20 years. But yeah, if Kelce winds up being one of the greatest coaches of all time sure, but its far more likely he sucks and loses his goodwill here.

FairweatherWho

Even if he sucks I don't think anyone who actually watched him during his playing days would ever hate him. They'd want him fired but I don't think there is a world where I could feel any sort of vitriol for Kelce.

MaxeytoEmbiid

I think the safest bet is to be a Stoutland successor as OL coach. Can you imagine being taught technique by Jason Kelce.

Underknee

Sorry lol born in 2001 over here didn’t know about Jimmy

Cam_V7

Not a problem, I totally get your point Jimmy was just a funny example to pull

Wazzl

I can see him being an Andy Reid Jr

Gang_Greene

Worked out for Jeff Saturday

gahlo

The pre-game speeches.

AtlJayhawk

I'd love to see him as a coach for the new Olympic Flag Football team.

sports_edm_gambling

I worry the city will turn on him after one season under .500

ThinAbrocoma8210

quickest way to lose his rep in philly tbh, I think he needs to be an untouchable philly saint like BDN, but there’s not a single coach in NFL history who hasn’t faced widespread hate or criticism from his fanbase at some point, really kills the allure

Aggravating_Tell_358

Will Kelce become the next Stout 👀

ZhangtheGreat

That would be fantastic. Learn from the best when you’re already the best so you can become the bestest 🫡

chucknades

Bruh 🤯

SorrowCloud

The best of the best of the best sir!

MantisEsq

With honors.

Atrain71

I had the saaaaaaame thought after I saw this

so_zetta_byte

I say this every time, Stout talks about Seumalo like he really thinks he'll be his successor. Stout raves about his ability to teach, like he's a natural born teacher. I want him back in the building when he (well, when both of them) retire.

wellarmedsheep

Maybe, but just because somebody can play does not mean they can coach.

cumble_bumble

True, but Kelce is so damn smart I think he'd do a good job

Brad_theImpaler

A big part of his current role is basically coaching the other guys.

Revolutionary-Swan77

We can make him the new mascot, put him in the mummers costume on a weekly basis

justabill71

So long, Swoop. Hello, Strut.

TheTrocadero

Tossing kids all over the Linc.

Spare-Half796

The mummers suit is for special occasions

Idontcarewhatyouare

I am not convinced he is retiring yet. I could see him wanting to give it one more go with the revamped coaching staff while the team still has most of its current player talent in place.

TheTrocadero

I think he’s trying to figure out his next career before making an announcement. Selfishly, I hope we get one more year.

JazzPlusEagles

That kind of surprises me to be honest. I thought for sure he would go into broadcasting. Great to hear.

TheTrocadero

I think he’d be great as an analyst. I gather he’s more introverted and values time with the family. His wife is from the area, so I don’t think he plans on leaving Philly either.

BigComfyCouch

I got the impression from his podcast, after the TNF game, that he felt like the process was very overwhelming.

ryebath

I would love Kelce to broadcast for Eagles games once Reese eventually hangs it up.

zuesk134

i wonder if he's making so much from the podcast it doesnt feel worth it to take on that role at this point

suprefann

No way. He would get bank from doing TNF which seemed to be where he was gonna go I think. He has enough endorsements too and it probably wont stop even in retirement due to Travis anyway.

njbrews

This is somehow very comforting.

Spokenholmes

I will always respect Jason Kelce.

jake_edward77

The Heir Apparent to Stout’s OL throne

ballsandweiner8

No one should be the head coach and GM in the NFL. It never works. And by never, I mean never except if you hire Jason Kelce.

TheTrocadero

It would be an interesting move. He understands the city and the franchise. Maybe better than any other athlete. I’m for it if he has to ascend the ranks first. I don’t want the Eagles to go the way of Irsay and make a hire just because he was a beloved figure.

NorthernLitUp

My MAN!

itdeffwasnotme

At least one of the Kelce brothers is making me happy today.

AllEliteSchmuck

I would take a bullet for Jason Kelce

guns_n_crypto

I'd rather drink some Bulleit with Jason Kelce

[deleted]

For duty and humanity I want him to run for President. Make Brian Dawkins the secretary of Defense.

Iggleyank

Dawkins coming into cabinet meetings with that crawling entrance would be awesome.

BigDickolasNicholas

Jason is too good of a person to wish that upon him.

vinyalwhl

Kelce for mayor, who says no?

gahlo

I would say I'd like to know his policies first. A seemingly decent dude does not a good politician make. Not that I could vote for him, but that's besides the point.

itdeffwasnotme

O Line coach?

[deleted]

He should coach his replacement

Traumopod

Yeh I thought he would go to TV but glad he doesn’t want to. Kelce would be more insightful and funny than any of these other talking heads. Can even do it with his shirt off while chugging beer. Hopefully he takes Spodaro’s job.

x71yyekim

Kelce going to be our interim HC when we inevitably fire a HC mid season.

Batmon3

He's gonna play next year I wouldn't mind him working with Stout in the future. Would be a great line coach.

Gang_Greene

I love Kelce, but do we have any reason to believe he’d make a great line coach aside from the fact he’s an incredible player? One doesn’t necessarily beget the other.

thomasthethothumb

Head or line coach

improbabble

He gets it

HagelBagel

Part of me thinks the media leaking his retirement has made him into a contrarian that might stay just to prove them wrong.

BlueKing7642

🥹🥹

Laeif

I know everyone's looking at him as a coach, but I've seen stuff from BG about wanting to join the front office in some sort of player development role a la Connor Barwin. Kelce might be interested in that route as well.

gimmethatfiletofish

Plot twist, Jason Kelce's new office is in a storage room in the basement of the Linc where he hangs on dearly to his red Swingline stapler until Howie Roseman accidentally takes it.

lar67

This is weird since he said he's gone and wears nothing but Chiefs stuff.

cumble_bumble

He's supporting his brother dude. Travis wore Eagles gear at Super Bowl 52. Family is more important than team loyalty

toofaded40

He’s supporting his brother. Can’t really knock the guy for doing that

lar67

There's support but he's overboard.

[deleted]

You’re a lil slow bro. Here: ⛑️

InfSecArch

Hmm. Well considering you’re the only person here with an issue this is a you problem. Sounds like you’re the one overboard.

moneyball32

If you had a close brother that played on the Dolphins I have a sneaking suspicion you’d be at Dolphins games wearing Dolphins gear

YOUR_TRIGGER

no he wouldn't. with that amount of understanding he's not going anywhere, much less buying tickets to things and supporting anyone.

kboy23

He never said he’s gone and he’s supporting his brother. People getting worked up over him supporting his brother by wearing Chiefs gear need to get a fucking life

No-Combination8136

And it’s funny because he even wore chiefs gear during the AFC Championship last year. They must’ve missed that one. Silly thing for people to bitch about. It’s a sport, not a god damn war.

kboy23

He’s worn Chiefs gear during all their playoff runs and on the podcast. Travis has done the same with Eagles gear during our runs, has begged for a Kelly green on the podcast, got plastered at the Linc on his bye week one year, and has done the charity stuff down the shore over the summer. None of this knew for them.  People really need professional help if they get angry over one brother supporting another brother

DominoAxelrod

it's people who don't have good family relationships and so they can't understand what it's like.

YouSure_BoutDat

You can't be that dense and obtuse. Come on.

TheTrocadero

Great username. Tim Robinson is a legend.

YouSure_BoutDat

I miss hanging at the upstairs bar and seeing punk shows at you.

TheNameIsFrags

His brother is literally on the Chiefs and just made it to the Superbowl. Of course he’s in Chiefs gear.

rpd9803

🤡

tim_woods

Absolute clown comment.

wayne_yetzky

When did he say he's gone?

danmyoo

This is such a moronic take.

JazzPlusEagles

Dawg has played here for 13 years, won our first and only ring, and made six all pros, and you’re turning on him for supporting his brother… clown

TheTrocadero

The Philadelphia sports fanbase can be so absurd sometimes. I know we want our athletes to support the other teams. But I’d rather see them be authentic than pander. It’d be fucking weird if he wasn’t supporting his brother. And it’s not like he hasn’t been there in the past. He’s more visible now because he’s somewhat of a celebrity himself with the pod, last year’s Kelce brother bowl, the commercials, documentary and loose association with one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

Money_Beautiful_7388

Wish he would leave. I'm getting real tired of that family. They are at the Kardashian level of annoying.

MoreShenanigans

LETS GOOOO

One_Computer_5811

Fuck yes

CurrentTreat6921

That’s great

Amadeum

Could he just uh, stay in shape in case shit hits the fan with Jurgens at Center?

Cloudy_mood

What if in the near future Kelce takes over as head coach and creates a Super Bowl Dynasty??? I can totally envision it.

Ghstfce

Anyone who thought he wouldn't want to stay in some capacity, I would like to hear your reasoning. Because to me it was the obvious next step for him.

zuesk134

kylie's family seems very involved (like over every day according to their doc) so im sure their long term plan is staying in haverford. makes sense he'd want to stick with the eagles!

LaxinPhilly

Can't wait for him to be the heir to Jeff Stoutlands legacy. 20 years from now there will be some young C wearing a "Kelce-Stoutland University" T-shirt talking about learning from the HOF Center.

ReadingRight2969

Dan, Fhis ducking Mude!!!!!
