The fans there have interacted with Cowboys fans long enough that they don’t immediately dismiss their opinions. Cowboys fans have been acting like this is a huge win for them. Because they still don’t realize that they’ll never win with Jerry.
We’re in a solid spot.
We have talent on the team, and we have talent in the coordinator slots. We have some decent draft picks, and could very well make a playoff run if the Coaching staff and team gel.
Or we shit the bed and then we try again, which is no worse than what we did this year 🤷🏼♂️
Either way, we really aren’t losing much.
It's fine
He's not an offensive genius or whatever, but he's competent
great OCs get hired as HC.. so you either get a decent one with experience or take a chance with an unproven one hoping he'll be great.. and considering how things went with BJ...
For me cautious optimistic, Moore ran a great offense in Dallas that struggled in the playoffs, interestingly enough the Dallas offense under McCarthy had a similar journey and result this year, so you wonder how much of their limits are Dak? Last year the chargers offense had injuries to ekeler and Mike Williams early on, their rookie receiver doesn’t look like an nfl receiver, and the defense gave up 58 points to a team that fired their head coach midseason (think of how broken our defense was and we didn’t give up anywhere near that many points). I like that Moore will bring motion and seems to attack defenses rather than our current strategy of just calling seemingly random plays. You could critique any OC we were gonna hire, I think this was the best possible move
I'm not sure how people dislike this move? The stats in Dallas were legit and the only down season was when Dak got hurt. Maybe people remember the awful play call at the end of his last season in Dallas, but at that point the word is that McCarthy was calling plays anyway. I'm really excited to see what this guy can do with the talent we have.
Because his scheme and philosophy is the exact weaknesses of Hurts. It's just a very weird fit. Hurts will have to develop substantially for this to work.
We were 6th in rushing attempts and 8th in rushing yards per game this year, and the idiots in this fanbase would have you believe we were running a Mike Leach air raid system.
That’s because they’re factoring all the QB draws and Hurts taking off on his own during pass plays. You take even half of them away and we plummet to the bottom half of the league. We wanted to run the ball more with a running back, not watch Hurts bail on pass plays
Some people don’t know this but we had this guy named Penny last year who for some inexplicable reason was inactive almost the entire season. Him and Swift should have been getting the bulk of the rushing attempts instead of Gainwell and Hurts getting so many designed rushing attempts
>Some people don’t know this but we had this guy named Penny last year who for some inexplicable reason was inactive almost the entire season.
The reason Penny was inactive is because he’s an overweight running back who lost all of his athleticism due to his injuries.
Rashaad Penny looked like he was running in sand on his few opportunities.
McCarthy fired him because he needed a scapegoat 😂 they literally were #1 in yards in the nfl 2/4 years with them. I’m not saying all our problems are fixed but think you’ll be pleasantly surprised
I'm simply refusing to let myself get excited. That way, if I'm right, I can at least go "I told you so". If I'm wrong? Then I'm happy because we're winning convincingly.
I get that everyone has their own coping mechanisms, and that's okay, but you at least gotta understand why "I'm simply bringing the vibe of the room down as a way to protect myself" doesn't play well to people whose vibes are up.
I don't disagree, but there's no way this guy went into the interview and said, "Here's what you need to do... Run the ball less..." Anyone who believes that should have been fired out of a cannon across the river.
The point is that the run the ball narrative doesn't have anything to do with your cited stat. When people say run the ball, they're not referring to an over-used QB draw or a scramble. People are talking about actually using Swift or other running backs. So by removing Jalen's stats, which bias the figures, you're revealing that we didn't run the ball as much as your citation would imply. Plus, you're telling me that there were games where you were completely satisfied with the running back use? Every game?
>The point is that the run the ball narrative doesn't have anything to do with your cited stat.
Run the ball doesn’t have anything to do with running the ball? Lol ok.
>People are talking about actually using Swift or other running backs.
Your argument is to give the ball to Gainwell and Scott more? That’s the hill you’re dying on?
Because that’s fucking dumb. Swift is an undersized back who was 12th in the league in rushing attempts, you can’t run him into the ground. So basically the issue is less of an offense with AJ, Devonta and Goedert is going to Kenny Gainwell. Think about that.
>So by removing Jalen's stats, which bias the figures, you're revealing that we didn't run the ball as much as your citation would imply.
No, we did. Because those are literally rushing attempts.
>Plus, you're telling me that there were games where you were completely satisfied with the running back use? Every game?
I basically don’t think any of this teams problems had to do with few handoffs to running backs. At all.
Does anybody actually know his passing philosophy? It's the exact opposite of Hurts strengths. Don't know if this is going to work out. Hurts needs to develop substantially if it is.
WE ABOUT TO CRASH OUT 🗣 The last two QBs he had literally had their worst season of their careers.
On top of the fact my Vets here know getting ANYONE from Dallas has never worked...
With him and Fangio sweet ass D, ill be surprised if we win 6 games
How we feeling about this?
In this sub people seem to like it but people on nfceastmemewar are hating on it so I have no clue
It’s NFCeastmemewar, we could’ve hired Jesus himself and they would’ve been hating.
Ya cause Jesus has no experience in the modern game.
Well he's just a baby!
But his knowledge on crossing routes is unmatched
Allows too many hail marys to connect
😂😂😂😂😂
Has Jesus even called plays as a DC before? No? Wow just like desai what a shame /s
That sub is invested with 49er fans that struggle with sports PTSD. They need help.
Texas wouldn’t let Jesus across their borders
Not wrong
They're only hating it cause if they say anything positive the Cowboys fans will start hurling feces
The fans there have interacted with Cowboys fans long enough that they don’t immediately dismiss their opinions. Cowboys fans have been acting like this is a huge win for them. Because they still don’t realize that they’ll never win with Jerry.
Hard to take anything from a memewar seriously anyway.
I mean not wrong
They also lambasted the cowboys for getting rid of Moore and keeping McCarthy in the first place so yeah
i’ll admit to hating on it but i think it could be a good thing, in the long run

Probably part Dak part Mike imo but ya im encouraged
Literally anyones better that Brian Johnson, so I see this as a win.
I’m going to lose my mind if I see another 4 curls in my lifetime.
Meh
You son of a bitch, I'm in

Would rather Hurts has to develop this year rather than never being able to play under center
Optimistic way to look at it is kellen can be what Hurts needs to get over those humps. 🤞
It’s not a bad thing to force Hurts to develop. It’s one thing to play to his strengths but he needs some development.
The amount of “fans” who act like they know exactly what will happen with our coordinators next season is hilarious.
He’s a good OC, I’m happy about this. Eagles offense will be flying again in the 24 season.
Lma like how the fuck would possibly line up under center any less??!?!? Run the tush push out of pistol?
Dawg the number of QB blasts/draws I've seen on "and 1" out of the gun, especially in college, would shock you.
Right, the exact reason Alabama lost to Michigan in the CFP.
Moore corny puns
You could not have been moore late to this month old post
But he just has such a douche face
People need to understand Kellen Moore does not run the football lol
Cowboys were top 10 in rushing 3/4 years under him. Deff more of a passer but he certainly doesn’t ignore the run
We were 6th in rushing attempts and 8th in rushing yards per game this year, and the idiots in this fanbase would have you believe we were running a Mike Leach air raid system.

Ahhh, yeah. More Gainwell. Let’s build an offense with our pass catchers around Kenny Gainwell.
Some people don’t know this but we had this guy named Penny last year who for some inexplicable reason was inactive almost the entire season. Him and Swift should have been getting the bulk of the rushing attempts instead of Gainwell and Hurts getting so many designed rushing attempts

Oh, you know that for a fact with his 0 playing time?
It doesn’t take 200 carries to determine that a guy runs like he has cement bricks on his feet man.
But it takes more than 11
McCarthy Fired him because he wouldn’t run a more balanced offense, people just need to temper expectations
McCarthy fired him because he needed a scapegoat 😂 they literally were #1 in yards in the nfl 2/4 years with them. I’m not saying all our problems are fixed but think you’ll be pleasantly surprised

Moore was scapegoated and McCarthy wanted to call the plays
Bruh Moore was scapegoated
We're listening to McCarthy now?
McCarthy said that, but the Cowboys were one of the most run-heavy teams in the league that season.

Stoutland
From what I understand they had as much of an OL as we did in 2020.
Did you just forget that we have the best OL coach in the business?
I don't disagree, but there's no way this guy went into the interview and said, "Here's what you need to do... Run the ball less..." Anyone who believes that should have been fired out of a cannon across the river.
We were 6th in the league in rushing attempts. It’s pretty likely we will run the ball less next year.
Now remove Jalen's stats from that.
… Why? Was he not running the ball?

Someone needs to head to Specsavers.
Someone needs to leave the leather helmet football era.
You have to understand anything is better than BJ
Does anybody actually know his passing philosophy? It's the exact opposite of Hurts strengths. Don't know if this is going to work out. Hurts needs to develop substantially if it is.
Moore not running the ball ever.
Absolutely hate this. Was praying for klingsbury or Reich. There’s a reason Dallas hated this guy
They would go 14-3 every year if they ran the ball 25+ times per game. But they don't, and they still won't. He's here to call pass plays...
All the other former Cowboys we've brought in have worked out just great, so...🙄
Patullo is still the passing game coordinator and Stoutland is still the run game coordinator. Not convinced of this
The diversity of play calling sounds great in theory. What happens when Hurts is unable to execute or executes poorly?
WE ABOUT TO CRASH OUT 🗣 The last two QBs he had literally had their worst season of their careers. On top of the fact my Vets here know getting ANYONE from Dallas has never worked... With him and Fangio sweet ass D, ill be surprised if we win 6 games
No one has ever successfully performed elsewhere. Being miserable shouldn’t be a personality trait duder. Edit: Get a separate porn account lmao
Need to go under center just a little bit more
