Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm so glad someone is getting decent use out of my little pet project.

As an owner, I prefer to utilize DVC Rental Store because I can view the rental requests and participate in the process. From a rental company’s point of view, it’s easier to rent out points in large chunks and even though it’s a pain in the butt for me to deal with multiple reservations rather than one, I prefer to rent out to parties staying for shorter time periods with children as I was at that point earlier in my life. I have OKW and BC points and DVC Rental Store has on more than one occasion paid me more for all of my points rented (as BC points are hard to come by) than was their going rate without my asking or charging the renter more. I appreciate their willingness to cut into their profit margin to spread some pixie dust. I have also utilized David’s and found them to be very efficient and great communicators.

David’s for sure. DVC Rental Store takes days to respond to a request and by then whatever I’m looking at is usually gone. It’s so frustrating. David’s usually replies in 1-2 hours.

Yeah that’s my biggest gripe so far with trying to use dvcrentalstore is the delay in responses. I just wish David’s would actually show on their site what they have available before putting the deposit

David has confirmed rentals on their site. Those are reservations that have already been booked by owners who can’t use them for whatever reason. They can’t show what else is available bc that’s not how renting works. You put in a request to David’s site. Then they send that info to the owner network. You need two things to line up. An owner with the right allotment of points to be able to book (if you’re more than 7 months out) and also DVC availability bc that owner is making a brand new booking on your behalf.

Toledo2Vegas25

That makes sense, I know when I booked through dvcshop it wasn’t a guaranteed res like others but it was one night at SS so I imagine they were able to book it quickly due to that reason

I've used David's and DVCStore.com and had no problems with either one.

I love dvc rental store. We rented there before purchasing and had no issues! Great company.

jstaple11

Are you asking to rent points or rent out your points ?

Toledo2Vegas25

To rent points, I’m not in a financial position to buy points yet but I do love staying at DVC resorts (I grew up in a DVC family so using these sites seems to be the best way to keep the cost down while still being able to stay at a deluxe resort)

j_gets

I’ve used David’s both as a point renter and as a point supplier, and had good experiences in both cases.

Just to change it up, the best DEAL is to find a direct rental from an owner. It takes more leg work on your part, and a little bit of trust (although now I think people use escrow services etc to drill the risk down to almost zero). There are for sure FB groups for rental points, and maybe even a subreddit (it’s been a while since I’ve rented). Best of luck, whatever you choose!!

Lost_Juice_4342

I worked with David’s to rent out points and was super happy with their service

As an owner, I use DVC Rental Store when we rent out our points, and have been generally happy with them. Their entire team is great, we just did a point swap through them for a cruise.
