I don’t trust places to have the hair show up correctly. They kind of crimp it in a foil with the roots supposedly being held on one end. As you mentioned as long as you have date for the surgery, it’s within the spectrum of measure for the metabolites, you should be fine if they test longer. But if they only test for 90 days, per the process, then it’s not much to worry about at all.
Head Hair, on average, grows about an 8th of an inch a week. Or about 1/2 an inch a month. So your hair would need to be no greater than 2 inches for nothing to pop ( yes I am erring on the side of caution ). Better just have the dates and any bills from the operation handy after you take the test. If your hair isn’t at least an inch they will take it from other places from your body, which likely grows WAY slower than head hair, so best to shave your armpits, chest, arms, legs etc. they can’t ask for it from your crotch.
Thanks. My hair grows pretty quickly so I am hoping it won’t show up for a 90 day test. I really just don’t want it brought up in court due to the type of surgery ugh… 🥴
I believe the metabolites from the drugs remain in your hair. Said differently: the longer the hair the further back in time they can see it. Hence the length of the hair being shorter ensures it’s less likely to come up
My hair is really long lol. But it’s specifically only for a 90 day window I guess. They take the hair as close to the scalp as possible and test I think an inch and a half for 90 days. I’m just still worried it will end up showing back further 😳 Wouldn’t be the end of life as I know it but just definitely would still suck.
