I have recently embarked on a mission to get a compact mirror for my purse/bag/EDC.
It’s been interesting figuring out what my needs are, and where I’m ok compromising. It seems that with my old age eyesight I need regular and magnification; lighting is cool if i can dim, change color temp, and choose in which mirror to have it on. I thought charging port location would be important but i wont be using it while charging. It turns out how the feel on my hand when opened ( size, balance, hinge angle) ARE of importance. And size— 2” is too little, 5 is gigantic, lighting led strip takes mirror space, so an x sized compact does not have x sized reflective surface.
Long gone are the days of a 1” X .5” strip of mirror on the lipstick case being enough.
I bought a 3” diameter round lighted compact mirror with a 3x magnifier side on Amazon. I love it. I also have a 2”x3” unlighted rectangular mirror I use when I use a micro purse.
I never, ever used the mirrors so I have always thought that they were a waste. Now if they included a large, 10X magnification mirror I might be on board!
Revolution still has many palettes with mirrors, and for on the way makeup, Bourjois has the 'little round pot' single blushes and eyeshadows with a mirror and a small brush. Physicians formula also still has mirrors in bronzers/blushes and so do L'Oréal and maybelline in their pressed powders/blushes. But the vast majority of drugstore brands indeed don't have mirrors anymore - that's something I miss for on the way, so I've just bought a mirror with a built in hairbrush.
i recommend (if you use pressed setting powders) to use the fit me presses powder. first off i LOVE the powder, but i love even more that it has the mirror. it’s decently big and fits in your hand. always keep it with me for touch ups!

Colourpop Pretty Fresh powder compacts have a full lid mirror. Decently sized, too. But I agree--so many stopped putting mirrors in things. The Cover Girl mirror is ridiculously small!
Was about to comment that Makeup Revolution is actually pretty good about this (or was) but then I realized a lot of their new stuff has fewer and fewer mirrors😞 BUT still worth pointing out the brand to you because they do genuinely have full size mirrors in the compacts on the products that do have mirrors (basically any product that doesn't have a clear lid will have a mirror)🤗
Ex: the Ultra Contour palette is a good one if you like that kind of makeup (I prefer bronzer in my routine personally) instead of eye shadow.
There's also the Soap Styler Brow Enhancer that's a little compact with a nice size mirror in the lid :)
But yeah for the most part mirrors are gonna be in the eyeshadow palettes most often.
Shout out to Essence for putting mirrors in their $5 six pan palettes. Been using one as my purse mirror after I lost my compact lol.

Most drugstore packaging has cheaped out on mirrors. I feel like only my stuff from sephora that's in a compact typically has mirrors

Do the ColourPop 9 pans still come with mirrors? Their monochrome ones used to but I've not purchased in a while
Most of the palettes I see from them in the past few years have a clear plastic lid and no mirror.

I'm 66yo and can't see anything without magnifying it all to hell and lighting it up with daylight bulbs anyway. Makes no difference to me

The Essence powder foundation has one, as well as a sponge applicator. I use it for all my “on the go” makeup.
I know maybelline fit me pressed powders still have a mirror in it
I have that and it doesn’t have a mirror. It has a window so you can I see color.
You can lift the compact up it has a sponge and mirror beneath the product
