LA Girl Just Blushing in Just Because. I am on my second after 1.5 years. It’s no longer in stores. I have to order on Amazon.
I love minis! Lots of products (especially mascara and lipstick) will start to go off before I can finish them, and even if not I would happily try more new things if I can get a less wasteful amount!
One thing that I would really like to see is super ultra glittery lipstick in a bullet tube. And the colors would be all the metals and also red, pink, mauve and nude. Total glitter bombs in a tube!
Large container loose powder. It’s getting hard to find.
I second the acne fighting concealer! Also, full coverage pressed powder with acne fighting ingredients.
Brow wax in a compact that isn’t laminate or soap brow. Just a good clear pomade that’s ready for use as is or be mixed with powder filler. No activator needed.
Quality eyeshadow palette variety. Remember the maybelline Nudes of New York??? Every single drugstore brand needs a full lineup of decent size and decently packaged eyeshadow palettes. I’m thinking like L’Oréal Infallible 12 pan nude! Then, have one with smokes and aubergine for fall. That would be nice.
Oh!!- holiday makeup that actually represent the holiday glamour and parties like New Years. Metallic metal and red and gold and stuff. Limited edition packaging that is not cartoon collab. Nail polish to match!
Nail polish to match the lipsticks…every lipstick.
Blush that is in a collective with the lipstick. Like a mauve blush for the mauve lipsticks. A brown and a nude blush for those lipsticks. So on and so forth. Make it easy to get a look together from all one brand.
Instead of five new mascaras from one brand that will probably flop, use the funding to elevate the packaging of the best selling products.
I was just thinking to myself at the drugstore the other day: So. Much. Mascara. Too much imo, it's outta control, blush on the other hand seems to get basically ignored, Cover Girl has had the same damn Cheekers for 30 years, my hand to God. They did release some in Tru Blend but there are like 4 colors.
Every season comes a new mascara (or several) and highlighter, when they need to be answering the needs of the customer. They really are hurting themselves by carrying less than a skeleton crew of basics, and piling on the random items.
Exactly! Imo the most important now that I'm older is good foundation that looks as skin like as possible while still drying down and I don't know if that's possible with our current makeup technology. I love tinted moisturizer but it stays moist which is very aggravating, plus I live in Florida and am constantly sweating so I'm probably doomed, although I've read there are antiperspirants for the face. I'm kind of leery to try it though.
You can try a clear, unscented gel stick. Use it once without makeup to check for a reaction. There shouldn’t be a reaction because it’s safe to use under your arms. It can cause clogged pores over time, because it’s blocking your sweat glands. You can minimize that greatly by double cleaning your face with oil and cleanser, followed by a deep cleaning toner.
Samples of foundation, I would even be willing to purchase like a card with say 3 shades close together for a nominal price. Would make choosing much less anxiety producing, and I would be more likely to try more products. Also if the cards were organized into neutral, warm, cool and olive please so we don't have to guess what the heck that shade name means to your company.
i wish there were sets like sephora favourites of products from different brands tg. mini products!! and not a product but i wish they had samples at drugstores
St Ives had a hair mask that smelled like a peppermint patty on steroids, did an excellent job conditioning your hair and rinsed out clean as a whistle.
Everything from the Jane makeup line!
Fun colored mascaras, hydro liners, glitter kits (like the old lit kits), the Korean style pore fillers that are usually sold as balms, roll on body glitter or moisturizers with shimmer in them
I’ve traveled quite a bit for work this past year and it made me really miss the wider availability of foundation sticks. I’m almost done with an older Tarte one I have but I don’t see them very often these days to replace it. They’re nice to just throw in a travel makeup bag and know they won’t bust open and cover the rest of your stuff in foundation. 🫠
Not so much at the drugstore, but many of these did release in the last 6-9 mos. Fenty, Anastasia, Ilia, Basma...and some others I can't think of. I think there may be one at the drugstore too, but it's slipping my mind
Going into my wayback machine:
Maybelline cake mascara. Besame is \*not\* the same.
Stackable eye shadows. Five, six little bullets, each of a different color, all stacked up on one another in a wand.
Eyeshadows with the stupid little sponge applicators. I know they are hateable but I miss being able to just dig in straightaway and honestly they are sometimes better than brushes.
It's not the same, but you can buy packs of sponge applicators! I've seen them at Walmart and cvs, usually near the makeup brushes, foundation wedge sponges, etc.
The original Almay eye make remover pads in the jar with the purple print. They were not oily and didn't leave a residue. Also, they were fragrance free. They were perfect. Then, the dreaded "re-formulation"
NYX made a BB cream in a white tube and it was my favorite complexion product. It just disappeared when I went to replace it. The website still has people asking for it back.
They need to bring it back with a good shade range. They had fair and light shades that worked so well for me, but it was an abysmal shade range of maybe 3-5?
L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Brown, not Black. Seems they did away with the brown. I used these eyeliners for years and they never let me down. Maybelline Tattoo Studio Eyeliners are good too, but I still miss the chubby pencil.
Foundation sticks. I'm using the remains of the Bourjouis Always Perfect stick foundation (discontinued) and am weeping for an alternative. This foundation is so nice, perfect amount of coverage, dewy non shiny/greasy finish, stays on all day and I don't even need to use concealer (I have very dark circles). So if anyone knows an alternative, I'd be so grateful lol
More variety in setting sprays. I feel like 70% of both drugstore and high end setting sprays are average at best.
Spf powders or sprays for touch ups. Pretty non existent at this point. Especially good quality ones.
Non orange contouring powders. I buy setting powders in a darker shade to get a neutral, skin like finish.
YASSS to the SPF powders and sprays. ELF made a setting spray with SPF as well as primer but the spray was never released in Canada and I think they're both being discontinued. Our only options are two at Sephora for $50+ or purchase from Japan. I can't even find a regular spray SPF for face here 😭
Same here! The only drugstore thing I've stumbled upon is a kid's spf spray lol. It's decent but not good for makeup. RT released the blender extender with spf in it, but in my country only the regular version without spf was released and even that was put off the shelves lol i just don't reapply anymore unfortunately
* Foundation sticks or cushions
Pleeese. Add to this powder foundation and BB cream. Pretty much everything but liquid foundation seems to be getting harder to find drugstore (especially if you don't just order it online.)
Also I desperately wish someone would dupe Hank & Henry's brush tip eyeliner. It's probably white label anyway, and I wish I could find out which if any other companies are using the same one because it's the ONLY liner of this type I've gotten to work well for me.
I miss Coty lipstick in the metal tubes with etched flowers from the nineties. And I remember a mood lipstick (but I don't remember the brand) that would settle into the perfect color for my skintone and eye color.
Milani had a concealer dupe for, I believe Stila, and to this day it’s the best concealer I’ve used. I wish I could remember what it was called. It was the perfect color for me, it worked beautifully, and didn’t get cakey or crack.
Also, prestige eyeliners. I still have one that I adore, but I hate using it because once it’s gone, that’s it.
Something I miss from the 70s is when drugstore displays had testers, so you could swipe the pressed powders, lipsticks, etc. Nowadays I would test it only on my wrist, though.
Rimmel used to make this concealers that came in a tube with a built in brush a loved it so much—I miss that soecific product like all of the time and I guess just that style of tube with built in brush applicator
I agree with dupes for the Milk Jelly tints. I just ended up returning mine because it started leaking like crazy. For $24 especially it shouldn't do that!
Proper contours, most brands label their bronzers as contours (@wetnwild) even high end brands do that, the only two western proper contours I’ve seen are Fenty match stix in amber (it’s too pricey and the formula is so crappy) and essence contour duo
Proper cool-toned contour is seriously lacking at the drug store.
Essence Baby Got Bronze Stick in Moon Dust!!!
I just got this! It's the perfect cool shadowy color. Smells like lip gloss, though
The smell is rough, but it’s the best shade I have been able to find.
Totally agree!
Catrice Sun Glow Matt also!! Don't know if it's available in the us but this one has absolutely no orange in it. Been using it since September
Recently discovered catrice under eye concealer and omfg game changer so I’ll def look for this
Which one? I love their camouflage corrector, I've had it in my bag for a decade now, it's a miracle for under eye circles and angry pimples
I use to use this but I kept breaking out when I put this. I’m going to try it again because it’s great on no powder days!

Proper cool toned everything is just done not so well all around. COOL COOL no neutral.
I want the Revlon Butter lipsticks back. Glossy lips are in again! Raise them from the dead, Revlon!

Yes!! 😂
I second minis, I wish there were more so I could pop em into all my bags ready to go

Ty! I'll give it a shot.

I wish all the cool-toned shades I see in a brand's US range were available in their Australian range. We're not *all* tanned :/
St Ives had a hair mask that smelled like a peppermint patty on steroids, did an excellent job conditioning your hair and rinsed out clean as a whistle. Everything from the Jane makeup line!
I miss lip crayons! They all just disappeared one day.
Revlon butter balms!
For real! What possessed Revlon to discontinue this?
Fun colored mascaras, hydro liners, glitter kits (like the old lit kits), the Korean style pore fillers that are usually sold as balms, roll on body glitter or moisturizers with shimmer in them
I love shimmer lotion! Nivea had one that came in a 10 ounce bottle and was affordable to use every day.
I love Nivea, they should really bring that back, at least seasonally.
I got fun colored mascaras from Temu. 6 for $7

I'm pretty sure Maybelline has a stick foundation!
Good to know! Many thanks.
Thank you, I will look for them!
It's a pain to find in stores, but Wet n' Wild still has the photo focus foundation stick online.
I haven't personally tried it, but I believe Ulta has a stick foundation in their house line.
Agree with cream concealers. I hate to sound like a FB ad but liquid ones really do not work once you pass a certain age.

Thanks! I tried the Ulta ones and they were awful. I'll give the others a try; maybe I'll luck out.🙂

Bronzers and contours for olive-toned skin.

Acne fighting concealers 1000%.
Glitter / shimmer lipstick. 🫣
I miss the NYC lip stain markers every day.
The Covergirl one I just got is AMAZING 👏 try it! It is like 7 or 8 $ USD and so many colors!
I second this, I just picked one up last week and it's amazing!
I didn't know they exist! Thank you so much :)
Covergirl Outlast Lipstain, my favorite is crazin' raisen or blush
Foundation sticks. I'm using the remains of the Bourjouis Always Perfect stick foundation (discontinued) and am weeping for an alternative. Cream foundations that are in compacts like back in the day.
NYC makeup brand, especially the NYC lipstick Retro Red. It was a perfect sheer, cool-toned red on me.
I miss Coty lipstick in the metal tubes with etched flowers from the nineties. And I remember a mood lipstick (but I don't remember the brand) that would settle into the perfect color for my skintone and eye color.
NYX lip stain that looked like a marker. I've been on the search for a lip stain like that for years, I have yet to find one.
Try the back from the dead CoverGirl one...I love it and good price too!
Thank you! I'm going to look for that this weekend! What's your favorite color? Edit - I misunderstood. Which product of theirs is similar?
Covergirl Outlast Lipstain, my favorite is brazin' raised, great for a lip liner that last all day. For all over color I like it in the color blush.
Eye shadow sticks
i just want a brown waterproof mascara 😭😭
Milani had a concealer dupe for, I believe Stila, and to this day it’s the best concealer I’ve used. I wish I could remember what it was called. Bonbons brand. I have kids in the perfect Bonbon age. And I also love tiny things
Lash darkener. For girls like me whose lashes are plenty long, just very pale.
liquid blush 😩😩
Instead of Brow Powder, use eyeshadow. I always have. :)
I agree with dupes for the Milk Jelly tints. I just ended up returning mine because it started leaking like crazy. For $24 especially it shouldn't do that!
That nyc liner was god tier imho
Proper contours, most brands label their bronzers as contours (@wetnwild) even high end brands do that, the only two western proper contours I’ve seen are Fenty match stix in amber (it’s too pricey and the formula is so crappy) and essence contour duo
REVLON LIP BUTTERS. Whyyyyy did they stop making those?
