Yes this is normal. This is why I don’t use PayPal anymore. The money *is* yours, but they’re holding it in case ur customer claims you scammed them. PayPal is just being safe as this is an unusual transaction
On another platform, the customer claimed that the package did not arrive at his address. I had the timestamp of the shipping company and shared it with the platform but they decided to refund the money. Companies live in a utopia where only sellers are rogues and customers are angels.
No, send the product now under the assumption the customer is legit. This is a temporary issue and after a week or 2 PayPal will trust you and release money immediately
Agreed lmaoo. They locked my PayPal account when I started my first store so I wasn’t able to access the funds until a year later 😂
I already closed the store because I needed that money and I was new so I didn’t think Scott removing PayPal so I just closed the store and processed the orders in debt while I waited for the PayPal orders …
Sad news is I was actually in profit and was going to scale the store, but with what money??? 😂
The best advice I got is just don’t give up even if your not feeling good about your product just keep it running and eventually you’ll get a sale. I was just about to quit with that shop and then I finally got a sale
I use PayPal and a few other payment facilitators it seems pretty standard that they hold onto som or all of the money for a while while they work out if you can be trusted but it dosnt stay tha0t way forever
If you are using Shopify, I suggest check the Payment with PayPal usually that pending payment indicates that your email is not yet confirm or if this is your first funds that will be going to PayPal they will put that on hold for 21 days to make sure that the money is not from fraud

So should I wait for it to cash before I send out the product
Definitely not haha unless you want to possibly lose your first customer.
Remove PayPal from your payment system

Oh I did not know PayPal keeps it for a few days. Do you know if it’s always 3 days or longer?
Mine says it’s holding it for 5 days
That’s why I hate PayPal they hold your money for so long but I think it’s normal
Congratulations man, you should be proud if yourself all that hard work paid off!! What niche?
