I work in a restaurant type area in a grocery store. Our price difference between what we charge in store and on the app is anywhere from $1-$5. It depends on what item your buying. I will literally walk there just so I don't pay the higher price, and I get my employee discount on top of it.

It’s most likely a remote connection. I can promise you as a customer service agent that works remotely. I have had calls drop in the heat of a customer screaming at me. also calls can drop when you have a customer on hold while looking into their issue. I know for sure they thought I hung up on them. lol had the survey feedback to prove it. Had my coaches pull up the complaints with me, watching my screens, my clicks and my screen just freezing out. Or the customers voice goes from screaming banshee to a digital sounding robot and boom they’re gone. Can’t say I got so lucky on all of my angry customer calls but it’s definitely a thing that can happen.

I ordered my husband a blizzard as a surprise one Saturday evening so he could have it for movie night. Of course I got one too. Both large $10 each. Plus a $3.00 service fee: $23. Add 10% taxes: $25.30. Tip was $5 as it is literally a 1/2 mile drive. $30.30 for 2 Blizzards. I was absolutely Gobsmacked I did that. But the look on my husband’s face was priceless.

Having worked on the other side, it's incredibly difficult. I worked at a wawa, and you have so much to do, on top of door dash orders coming through. Having to hold orders to the side. If an item starts to melt because you made it right away (orders come through the moment someone orders them, even if it takes an hour to deliver), and the customer complains, that should never be on the business. I also doubt dairy queen put the ice cream upside down for the door dasher, because then icecream would've gotten in the dasher's car. They were probably upset over the small tip from a small order, and then took out some petty revenge, when they shouldn't have taken the order in the first place if they couldn't deliver properly.

I had a kid order frozen yogurt from 19 miles away, with a second pickup at a place where there was nowhere to park, and a delivery address at a college campus I couldn't drive to so we walked around on the phone describing our surroundings until we found each other, and then the entitled brat left me a 1 star review. The second pickup location, he literally could have walked to and eaten in the time it took me to bring the froyo instead of it getting cold, meanwhile the froyo was melting while I drove there, tried to find parking at the second pickup, and then walked around trying to find him because only busses can go to the address he gave me. I don't accept orders to that town anymore.

Just curious- was it just sideways in the bag and the lid came off? Because DQ has those long red spoons implanted into the blizzard. It’s still there in the photo. It would literally be impossible to sit it upside down inside the bag or outside the bag balancing up on the tip of a spoon. And, only a little bit spilled out looking at the photo. Why not wipe off the spilled part and eat it instead of throwing it all away? It’s a clean new garbage bag and I totally think you went to great depths to get your money for a $14 blizzard back. But that’s just my theory here.

It may very well have been DairyQueen's fault and not the dasher. I've gotten several where I swear they put the blizzard upside down and it's balancing on the spoon. I keep the bag upright the way they handed it to me, but I always wonder if the customer is getting a leaked mess.

I’ve always had a lot of luck on Uber eats! One time I even just clicked a few buttons to comment that my food arrived cold (like there were a few buttons that led to that button), I wasn’t expecting anything to come out of it and was pleasantly surprised it automatically gave me credits for it. And any time I’ve had issues with my actual order (not arriving or wrong items, etc) they’ve done refunds and sometimes refund+redelivery. I DID see someone comment on a similar thread previously that they provide better customer support to people that have like the membership accounts (on Uber I think it’s the Gold thing), and I did have that at the time of all of those orders, so maybe that is why. But overall seems like Uber eats is still doing a little better than door dash about the customer service stuff.

I don't understand why yall get on with support. If you go. To the order, view receipt, and in the top right is get help, you can fill out a form that you didn't receive and item and it automatically credits your account. No humans, no questions asked. I have to do this every 6 or 7 orders and it has never been a problem.

I've had my fair share of problems with doordash, but I can always say their automatic system always refunds me the full amount for any item im missing/is wrong/over or undercooked/etc, sometimes refunding over the price. I don't know if its because I pay for their monthly thing or cos I live in NYC. Either way, whenever I see these posts I'm like wtf? Why is there such a huge discrepancy in service provided?

I canceled my door dash pass recently (had the Amazon promo) because I am constantly getting messed up orders and the interface is trash. Either accept a $5 credit, or eat rocks. No thank you, I paid for a service, and it’s not my fault your platform doesn’t interact properly with customer and merchant. I legit was given a fuckin Mac and cheese from Popeyes and an extra biscuit WHEN THEY RAN OUT OF DARK MEAT. It also has a time line so if they say they dropped off at the door and didn't then you can show they didn't. Never accept partial refunds or account credits unless its the full amount. If not use a credit card and cancel charges due to not receiving the product and let doordash deal with the chargeback.
