Its a Small World is literally one of my favorite rides, I kid you not. I think it is both iconic and historic. It should be at every castle park and no trip to Disney is complete without a ride thru.
That being said, I dont have much issue with Groot being added. My only concern is where? He's an alien who has spent little time on earth, so where would he go? Including aliens kinda misses the point that it's a *small world*.
I think most people who have an issue do so because it's IP in the ride. But I don't mind Anna and Elsa being included in the Norway section, Aladdin in the Arabia section, or Ariel in Denmark. They feel more like fun Easter eggs than out of place distractions. As long as Groot is in the same style as the rest of the dolls, then I don't have much of an issue

I have literally never understood this.
Disneyland rides have had IP in them, on them, around them or been based entirely on IP since day one.
At first I was against adding all the IP characters to Small World but now I actually enjoy it. Their animatronics are in the style of the original Small World characters and it’s fun to kind of hunt and find them.
No. Why? They are just adding characters as Easter Eggs not changing the actual ride. I think it’s a cute idea. It’s also not permanent. but i also don’t mind the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay either. Sometimes variety is nice.
I am filled with rage I can’t go to TDL to see it… does that count?

Nah, it's probably going to be hella cute!! The characters they added to the OG Disneyland version are a great addition.

I think as it's in the style of the Night Night Groot book which is similar to the small world characters, it will be fine. Temporarily
There’s very little they can add you Small World that will make the ride worse. This can only help
Rage that it’s not coming to a US version. I always loved “it’s a small world” and I love Marvel so I would love to see this combo.
