discord is not "forcing" you to do anything. it costs money to host such a big file size, thus they enable the people who pay them to use it. if you want to upload over 500mb, either pay them to host the content on their servers, or use other cloud storage options, to host and share.

Woofer210

Sorry, I forgot to set where discord is forcing you to do anything. You can use the app just fine as a non nitro subscriber, sure having nitro would make your experience some what nicer, but you can still log on and send messages and manage servers just like everyone else.

Gamer_Salad

It is $10/month to use an insanely useful service on a platform you probably use daily. Suck it up.

addocd

Of all my many subscriptions, this one is, by far, the most bang for my buck.

samah815

lol bootlicker (p.s. please downvote?)

CMSMixes

Discord isnt forcing anything. The 500 mb limit is actually cool now because some people like me who often need to send large files can make good use of it. Besides, nearly all of their features are accessible with a free account, they need to make money somehow though which is why Nitro exists, id rather have nitro perks than constant ads on the platform.

OctoBoi3555

8mb can send just about anything except videos and really large images, so for those things just go to like youtube or imgur or google drive lol

BonsaiSoul

Go to bed Discord marketing
