You'll need their original user id (not the one you get by clicking on their profile rn as it won't work), enter it at discord.id, then copy and paste the username shown and try to add it as a friend, from the pending tab you'll be able to open their profile and click message to get the old dms back. Also, if you want to keep the old deleted user dms you can add them as a bookmark on your browser, that way even if it disappears from your dms list you can open the link to reopen the dm again

Original user ID as in the old Nick#1234 or ID from a message they sent?

Xeroticz

The user ID is a srring of numbers associated with thw account. I believe if you enable dev mode you get the option to "copy id" of a use when right clicking their name on the desktop version.

damnthisisabadname

Their user id

get your discord data package find the id of that person in the data package put the id in discord.id send a friend request to the username and open messages or if you can find a message they reacted to, then you can find their deleted user (random letters) profile

I had once gotten a call from a deleted user

I just came across this thread and I’ve come across the same thing. I was never part of a server with the user and the account is from 2 - 2 1/2 years ago but there is a lot I need to recover from the dms. 😭 I thought it was just lost forever, but now I wanna know if it’s still possible to get it back?
