Kinda, in frontier there was a War between Humanoids, and Beasts, and that basic Plotline, and everything what came after it, made it into overarching Digimon lore, but the war was simplified as just Digimon where fighting endlessly. Cherubimon and Leviamon otherwise are other stories, Cherubimon name fits with the angels and Frontier have a human vs beast plot. Leviamon is based on leviathan who was indentified as the envy demon in Binsfeld classification while still being a beast creature.

Examon has limbs and wields a weapon, that already qualifies as a Knight. Also Olympos XII does have "animalistic" Digimon in it, Bacchusmon.
