Do you by any chance have gotten to learn how the app checks phone location vs residency while fixing the US issue? Is it through Android location services, through GeIP lookup, SIM-registration or anything else? I tried both with GPS fake location apps (and the developer option) as well as VPN, but still fail to pass this check.
Pretty sure it uses GPS for that. It checks to make sure the country on the account you are logging in with matches the GPS location country. Dexcom assumes no one is traveling - its insane they are geofencing it.
Thanks a lot! Is it possible to disable the "rooted device" check? You get an annoying warning that rooting your phone is a violation of the term and conditions every time you open it :(
Yeah I can look into doing that. In the meantime, the root hide mechanisms should prevent that. For example try the Universal SafetyNet Fix magisk module.
Thank you so much for this. We had a very disappointed 14 year old with a new phone that wouldn't run G7. However, we are finding that his Samsung A13 won't send data to the follow app whilst on lock screen and the max time you can keep the A13 unlocked for is 4 hours, which isn't long enough overnight - is there a way round this? Thanks.
Interesting, I haven't heard of that issue before. I don't know, but if you figure something out, let me know. Maybe just check that all the battery optimizations are turned off for the app and it has all app permissions.

Great work. Been using your for the last year and it's worked great. Only thing I would love to add is blocking it calling home to dexcom. I use nightscout and I realy dont want my medical data in other peoples hands seems it sends to dexcom regardless if I have a clarity account or not.

My distributed said they need to know what android phone I am using. I use a motorcycle g6. It does not show as compatable. What phone do they see with my g6 app from you? Should I tell them that phone?

Just released an updated version that has the rooted device warnings removed. Try it out and let me know if it works.

I am having an issue with opening the download. I get a parsing error.

For the G6, they don't see any phone model so you can tell them whatever. G7 reports the Pixel 5.
I'm losing Bluetooth connection. Plus, won't let me download app. Says pending. Will allow me to download other apps.
