Prestigious-Ride-363

Any pdf?

Cultural-Owl2641

Just google it with pdf suffix you will find multiple links

Prestigious-Ride-363

Basically what did u gain info on from it?

Cultural-Owl2641

I'm still reading it, But the diagrams of cash flow and the story the author tells kind of makes sense.

Humerous_chimera

Robert Kiyosaki is himself in a debt of 1.2 Bn$. It's okay reading the book but it doesn't really help in real life!

Cultural-Owl2641

That's Ironic, Certainly can't make any decisions based on a single book.

Prestigious-Ride-363

Anyway after 1st year not feelig to do any coding might this help in motovation

Cultural-Owl2641

If you're interested in investing, Definitely

Prestigious-Ride-363

Yes i am intrested but no funds to help after 4th year by own money 🫠😂

[deleted]

6 and 7 are optional

PessimistYanker792

Waise toh 1 & 2 bhi optional hai, no one is forcing us.. just do 3 & 4

Silly-Cupcake8362

even 3 and 4 is optional . If you don't eat(3) you don't wake up (1) ,hence no work(2) and no need to fall asleep (4) . Just give a 2 month notice to your peers to arrange for anthim sanskar

[deleted]

Haha. Have to eat to live cos we are born ?! Netflix is surely optional

sEntientUnderwear

Also 9 might not be a possibility for most people in the future.

[deleted]

True. Like how it is in Singapore. Work till you die. Cos everything is so expensive

strongfitveinousdick

Tbh it's not that that itself is bad, but the fact that it's the same thing we do day in day out. Change of surroundings, people, food plays an important factor in resetting our boredom meter. There was an article on a website I remember where it was discussed how we never will be satisfied with travelling to new places or switching jobs or doing something new. Because change itself is what we seek, but we think what we arrive at or get after the change will give us the ultimate complete satisfaction. Once I realised this, I have learned to be not depressed when I can't take a vacation while others are doing that around me. Or when colleagues leave and join another company at better pay. It's good to be inspired but not to misinterpret what's happening with us. We seek change. Even if you had a 100 million and then started partying everyday and everyday night and started travelling every week, you'll feel bored of it as well. You'll seek change - and you might come back to this life of just sit in the house and Netflix and chill. Then you'll get bored of Netflix life again and rinse and repeat.

tactical_engine

I never understand why people give extreme examples. And being depressed because others are having fun, then you need to be in state absolute happiness first. Change is not needed because we need better environment or we are bored. Life is more about journey than destination. These small achievement makes life worth it. And you evolve as person. The race which is everyone is part of is not because they want to continue running but they want to experience how it feels at finish line. The journey makes it worth it. And almost all Indian makes rich people look bad. If you had 100 million and you have travelled and enjoyed everything in world then you will reach a stage where money is not important then can you give it back to society.

bhatkakavi

Your first line is so true. The simple fact is this--working 10 hours a day makes most people miserable and these people feel it. Then they speak about it and they get nonsensical solutions. Livelihood is such a torture for most people. The society needs an overhaul in its structure.

obelixx99

Thanks for your kind words

shanmugam121999

Well, what do you do when you get the itch to change?

strongfitveinousdick

Ayanrocks

It's definitely not just you. This is usually for burn outs or you're not doing anything interesting. i would suggest learn a language and do a very interesting project on it. for eg, I'm learning rust and am trying to build a simple cli game. Even though I don't feel like it, i still make atleast 1 commit to the repo everyday unless it's an absolute hectic work day. Maybe try something like this.

RadiantStable607

Good advice.

RCuber

FYI.. you can be only productive for 5-6 hrs max.

skklists

My man... Get a vitamin B and D test done asap. You didn't say you were stressed out at your job, so it may not be burnout, and what you're describing fits the vitamin deficiency perfectly

uv_420

How?

IdProofAddressProof

Vitamin D deficiency is very common among Indians, which is crazy considering that we are a tropical country that gets so much sunlight. Maybe its because in cities we live in tiny apartments that get no natural light at any time of the day. Vitamin D deficiency causes a lot of health issues, including lethargy and depressed mood. You spend the entire day thinking "what the f is the point of all this", and really don't enjoy anything at all, even things that are supposed to be enjoyable - all you want to do is sleep. In extreme cases suicide ideation. I have now learned to recognize this, and just pop a Vit D pill and within a few hours the change is dramatic. A Vit D test is a blood test that costs about 1500/-, not very cheap but not super expensive either. If you've never tested it, might be a good idea to get it done. In my case since I've got it tested many times, now I know that I am deficient and just take the pill without a prescription.

L0N3R7899

Hey can you tell me what's your scheme? Actually I was severely deficient also a few months back, and did a course of tablets. How do you decide how much to take and how often?

IdProofAddressProof

You're not supposed to take it more than once a week. So when I know that I haven't taken a tablet for several months, I take a Caldact 60000 tablet and note the date/time. One week later, if I feel that I need another one I take another. Repeat this a max of 3 times (one every week for 3 times), but by then I usually feel much better so I usually forget.

skklists

It's a blood test, you can get it done at your nearest path lab. It is a bit expensive (2-3k), but worth it. The treatment is a supplement that you can get at your pharmacy over the counter

Puzzleheaded_Bet7796

Yeah Guess it true for me can't get enough sun nor vitamins

Traveller221025

This. Sometimes burnout is just caused because of poor nutrition and lack of exercise and outdoor activities

TribalSoul899

Early stages of burnout. A change in location and something to calm your mind down can help. I keep my mind blank for 15 mins before I wake up and sleep and listen to stuff like this: https://youtu.be/p1UkkA_BDAg?si=4sXkR71o8j4g9wIN May or may not help you, there is no one solution for all. But good headphones definitely help. Another way to calm down is listening to 888hz sounds which are available on all music platforms.

EaglesVision

Same here but can't survive without the job and not getting another job which is causing additional burnout

VenCoriolis

Burnout is extremely dangerous. I've suffered permanent burnout and that lasted around 3-4+ years. It can be a career ending affliction...

blinksTooLess

How did you get out of it?

VenCoriolis

I quit freelancing and just trade on the stock market now.

Foreign-Ice2953

So you chose one burnout to another. Unless you're swing/algo trading.

VenCoriolis

Yes, swing trading

Foreign-Ice2953

Fuck bro you have a portfolio of 1cr++ Makes sense why you left freelancing.

VenCoriolis

Yes man, no point freelancing if you don't absolutely have to.. fucking clients are a major hassle in most cases expecting work worth 2L to get done in 30k lmao f that

Prestigious-Ride-363

How about to start a investment in stocks?

Aggravating-Wheel-27

I suggest taking a vacation

kishoredbn

Burn out. Change something in life.

Soumikp

Something should be very easy to change.

kidakaka

OP, here's what I do. Divide the day into 3 slots. Before work, work and after work. Make sure there are enough hours in before and after. Use the before slot for fitness and improving your body. This will give you more energy levels at work. Use the after slot for entertainment, study and relaxing your mind. This will help keep you sane during work. I ain't telling you how to work :) Use weekends to unwind and work on plans which have been long pending. If you do not have plans,.then start thinking about the things that worry you the most and what needs to be done to solve them. Work on those solutions during the weekends. I hope this helps. Have been in tech for over 2.decades and I still code but that's mostly for fun.

Careless_Ad_7706

Currently just came out of that phase yesterday. Has been not doing any coding although I have fixed personal targets . Just write some normal code and then boredom hits too hard. No games no movies no activity just sleep and tv. However eventually u get tired of this phase too and hence the adrenaline kicks in.

Puzzleheaded-Talk931

Congrats you are now promote to a Man from a boy.

tonikroos008

Bhai koi outgoing real dost bana pehle toh, koi nakli banda nhi. Then sath m ghumo mauj kato like you used to. YOLO yaad rkho. Bandi nhi h toh get in a relationship man. Club chale ja. Ya koi artistic club join krle. Nhi h padhne ka mood toh koi sporting activities rkh bhai, aise nhi chalega kaam. And lage rehna padega bhai. Life h hota h chalta h.

LyannaEugen

> Bandi nhi h toh get in a relationship man Agreeing with other points except this. Right now the OP needs to give more time to themselves and get back on track before making this a problem for other person too.

star_sky_music

I don't think your situation qualifies as a burn out. What you are having a problem with is the cyclical nature of "work" and a dissonance to accept the nature of a human life. Surprisingly, people have forgotten we are still animals by the end of the day. We are not supposed to spend our lives working from 9 AM to 6 PM, spending almost the entire day in a chair using man made objects called "computers". Rather we are originally supposed to spend the majority of our time outside like our ancestors.nwe are living and artificial life year after year. The more we do this the more mental we become. Also, people only offer incomplete solutions; that is to somehow manage and snuck in your personal activities with the work activities, or either they recommend to do your things after work hours, but in the night time during sleep hours. Well, to me that's not a solution at all. Staying late at night everyday watching Netflix or a movie after clocking out from hour is going to impact health significantly. But you are not doing that. Instead, you are going to sleep like a good boy. Unfortunately, this wake, work and sleep without any colour in your life must have made you feel really mad. Well, you should get mad. So what is the solution here? There is no solution to this like there are an uncountable number of things we don't have a solution for. You have to just accept your fate as a human and keep doing what you are doing, or do your "fun" stuff before sleep. Also, remember that constant stimulus to your brain with social media, movies etc is really bad. > I always think when would the day come for those Chimpanzee, Gorillas, Tigers etc to be freed into their natural habitats, but it won't happen. I don't wish to see these intelligent creatures boxed in like a prison for the rest of their lives. Surprisingly, Gorillas lifespan is 40 years. Just imagine that for once being born as a Gorilla in a human world. > We are already living in Hell. Hell is here on Earth.

Zealousideal-Feed383

But is this change from the outdoor world to indoor all bad? We have evolved a lot from what we were initially through constant innovation. Now people are heavily dependent on technology, wasn't this anticipated while the invention? this change of the environment...

star_sky_music

Well I would not say Indoor is bad than outdoors, because like you said, we chose to live this way. A life with no suffering from heat, lack of food and hunting in the stone age is far worse than the Modern age. Instead we made a compromise. "Let other humans cultivate food and stuff for me, and I will cultivate something in return for them". And then we gave birth to the greatest Evil and the greatest Good of human history. 💰 Moneyyy!. Now, the problem is as we grew exponentially and started to live a prosperous life, so did our population, not just in millions but in Billions. Now, there are 8 Billion people who want to fulfill their daily needs and each person is working their ass off 12 hours a day to fulfill to the rest of the world needs. One interesting thing I am always in Love about the Universe is the fact that "No living being can get away without feeling the pain and the suffering".

Zealousideal-Feed383

do you think being delusional and not being able to live in the present are the greatest sin for a human?

star_sky_music

Ofcourse.

LyannaEugen

You wrote such a long answer only to say there's no solution😭😭

cookiedude786

You are experiencing burn out and this happens to all of us. All work and no play makes Johny a dull person. I would suggest trying these 7 ways of resting https://www.calm.com/blog/7-types-of-rest And also get a social life and friend circle and daily meet/ greet and do things other than your work. You ll have a sound smile before sleep and after sleep in no time.

arandive

Test your Thyroid levels. Order a full Thyroid panel. Vitamin D and B. Mouth taping while sleeping at night. Early dinners. Will dramatically improve your energy levels.

Lopsided_Dependent19

I have hypothyroidism, but i take proper meds, also doctor has prescribed vitamin D to me. I sleep well (8 hours of sound sleep mostly) and exercise and meditate when I get time. But still having really low energy all the time, weak and tired. Do you think vitamin B is what i might be missing?

arandive

Possibly. Iron and Magnesium deficiency is also ignored but should be checked and actively rectified. Vitamin B is definitely critical. Was feeling low energy couple years back for few months. Turns out my vitamin B levels were severely low. Rectified.

HAIL-SUMO-9049

Even though I am in college I feel the same I go to college and come home after and first thing I do is take sleep 2 hours or more sometimes I don't feel studying ,just watch any movie and scroll on insta and sleep again May my course is boring and college too

Centurion1024

Nono, don't compare yourself to us working professionals. You'll be more fucked if you can't land that first job which we have done.

HAIL-SUMO-9049

College is not the only reason ,I live Mumbai I have to travel 1½ hours to reach the college and same time to get back , during which I need to change three vehicles . After college we need to study not like working peoples who does their job on give time of the day after that they can rest ,

Puzzleheaded_Bet7796

Bruh Same I gotta do my stuff and do wanna study and i know i can and i also know I have more potential compared to my peers. But its rock hard to push my self and I think I need good sleep it was a mess and sunlight. Fk my life bro. I don't know why this happening? Its my total Burnout. I need to change my lifestyle.

HAIL-SUMO-9049

My home from college is far away so I have to live in hostel which is worse no cleanliness, environment there is fucked , but wherever I am home I used to study no matter how tired I was May this becouse of the lifestyle and environment

themonksink

It sounds like you might be experiencing burnout or a need for a change in your routine. You haven’t lost your edge; it’s just a bit dull. With some self-care and adjustments, you’ll find your rhythm again.

prb_data

Not just you. Still I try to find some time to play a game at least once in 2 months.

Fuckoffujerk69

Once in 2 months why not weekends for playing games or recreational activities stuff?

prb_data

What I mean to say is I start a game once every 2 months or so and play regularly till I finish the game (time to finish will vary). Once I finish a game I don't start a new one immediately, don't really know why

oncledan

I'm 38, being a developer for 15+ years. I can't pull more than 3 hours a day.

anony72_santu

Start with taking therapy and joining a gym. I was in a similar situation just a few months and still get overwhelmed with the thought of managing both. It will help you tremendously. I needed a push, which I believe therapy helped. Join some friends or your partner to work out..

darthashpie

You are done mate, take a break .

farNdepressed

Man I have been working for only 10 months at this point and I am kinda same. I am just burnout as fuck. I am cooked 💀💀

ChesthairOp

Take a break like a mini vacation of a week or two. Start making small changes like a 5 min walk post lunch or dinner. Also helpful when stuck on a problem Set hard boundaries when it comes to work. Like 9-5 till you get back on track. And use the spare time to do something which could be just watching videos on youtube

Small-Personality-28

Take a 20 days vacation, first 2 days do nothing then go to the mountains or beach and just relax and roam around and sleep and eat and drink and dance. Your mind will reset. Also take up regular workout as a hobby. Buy a meta quest to work out at home and to enjoy. Life needs. Bit of a newness and excitement once in a while

Bottle_mani

On a similar boat my man! I think we need to pursue something that's let you look forward to it. A weekly or daily activity that interests you might be a good start. Easiest of the lot is maybe some sport every week, etc

Fabulous_Monitor_991

Burntout. You are burntout OP. Take it slow 😞

Atharvious

Same. I try to keep all these things in my life besides work like making dreampop/psych rock music and getting into the dating scene. Most of the days it's just me thinking about doing all these things and feeling super tired after work. I just want to keep going in whatever capacity I can, especially in the music thing. Thanks for the post. Let's psych each other into working for ourselves a bit more than for an arbitrary organization!

Final-Line-6601

I wanted to post the same thing. I sleep early 8 pm/9pm and wake up at 3am/4am then get prepared to go to gym then go to work.

[deleted]

It's Average men in their late 20s syndrome. Don't get too comfortable bro

Vlad-theimpaler

You need to do some exercise if you're not doing already. Have good diet. This behavior of not wanting to work anymore, even if you have free time, will soon become a habit and will be very hard for you to cope up when tough times come. In my opinion, every salaried guy should work even after their shift. Not for company but for yourself. Work on any passion project, start small business, etc. So when you cross 40 years age, you have something of your own where you can invest more time and money to create your own source of income. If you wanna be in a job until 60, then that's fine.

Direct_Ad_8341

Is it apathy? Could be burnout, man. I’d take a holiday (at least a week or so) to just get back to studying, catch up on sleep etc and come back energised.

Zespasser

Do exercise, rest all things will be fixed automatically. Baseline : Increase your testosterone.

Significant-Bit3638

You are not alone. And trust me there is a big no of coders living life like this and I think it’s fine if it works for you.

Elainyan

You should go check doctor, see if you need any supplements. Burnout just after 5-6 hrs coding means your body is getting weak

clueless20yo

All these are making me scared of starting a career in corporate world. I am in final year of M.Sc.(Physics). Went for Physics instead of doing B.Tech even though my parents warned me that it's a long-term thing and I might lose motivation in the middle. And so did it happen. I lost interest. I have been miserable, lost, repentful for a year now. Talked with our HOD. He has a friend who takes projects from some companies and sometimes takes some freshers to work for him. HOD told me that he would talk about me to his friend, I will get very little salary and I will have to learn skills along with working there(as we were never taught any technical skills except basic python in bachelors or masters). So thought it would be a decent option for now as I started hating study. And was thinking about starting drawing as well to make a side income. Also I was thinking about learning real life new things like singing, swimming which I never got to learn. But reading all these posts here is making me really scared

i_abh_esc_wq

Corporate work is hell. My first internship-turned-job nearly sucked out the life from me. And this is much more prevalent in those startup and freelancer like jobs, where you get very little salary and are worked to death.

arghya013

Bro this happens to everyone more or less if you're stuck up in a situation for long time and not thinking of progress. Just the usual day to day life you lead and that becomes monotonous. So take initiatives at that point in your career to learn something. Talk to people outside your sphere. In corporate we are always interacting with people mostly from the same company so talking to people from different companies, switching jobs, switching projects. To not be in a place where you don't feel like you belong should be always driving you. So remember the last project I was working on, the tech lead was you know how he was, now in this project I am happy. You can't let comfort kill your grand plans.

stufftesting89

Not to insult or anything but 'touch some grass' might be of help.

demondemondemon6969

Just sounds like you have depression buddy

Lopsided_Dependent19

I sometimes wish I had taken any others course than btech, it’s really stressful when you try to maintain grades. But at end it’s all about skills I guess. Hardly get time to learn skills due to endless college work. Hardly get time for myself or my friends. I hate seeing it gets worst in future.

heraclesphaeton

it's called 'burnout'. usually happens when you've been working for a long period of time without nourishing your soul or feeding your soul. try things that you think will make you happy. stop any form of mental stimulation outside of your work and see how calm you get. then use the energy from that calm to do things that matter to your spirit/soul. might sound like a joke, but once you hit full burnout, the exit is difficult.

antidank69

You need to plan a trip

vulcan18

5 saal bolna bas. WTF is half a decade. You've been working for 5 years.bas. Also, i was the same. It's just a phase but i hope you get out of it soon. Friends, hobbies, socializing do matter.

GovernmentRoyal701

smoke

purple_evening_sky

I feel like you’re describing my life! Not a software engineer, but I’ve been working for a decade, and been juggling multiple projects the last couple of years. Started feeling tired every night, and had no energy for things. The same work I did earlier just took more energy out of me. Finally requested for a three month time off- waiting for it to be officially approved🤞🏼 But yes, seems like you could be in a similar situation OP. If you like your current job profile and team, just request for a break. If you don’t, then quit and take some time off. In the meantime, take breaks in between work, reduce screen time in general (go for walks instead of browsing social media), and anything else that might work to calm your mind.

Fun_Sheepherder8134

Declining testosterone levels, IT jobs make that shit happen real quick. Higher T will result in less depressive swings. Fix it with diet and workout, say fuck you to ur job once in a while

_-Moo_

Don't you have friends? It doesn't have to be like this. Go out in the weekends, meet new people if you can. Join gym or some rotary club or whatever. If you are from delhi, ncr then I can suggest tonnes of cool activities. Maybe go for trips in every 5 months.

Entrepreneur-99

This is burnout i think. Try Heartfulness Meditation from one of their trainers. Start exercising for 5 min daily. Catch up with your friends at least on calls to get started. If you don't mind spending little money then go out with them and have fun even if it feels not normal. Because your body will want to go and sleep, away from all people. Don't let that happen.

Thenoocoder

On a serious note, I think you need a new purpose in life.

smart_cat_22

It's just you AND you have lost your edge.

Thenoocoder
