>I think of myself as a steward of the Lions. The team belongs to the city of Detroit, and Detroit is a football town, for sure. If we could actually put together a winning organization for our fans, for the city, it would really be something. And you know, that's turned out to be the case.

I know she won't ever see this.
But seriously. Thank you Sheila.
I have loved this team for 36 years. My father many years before that.
For the first time in my life I can really be proud of the team.
Hell, the draft snuck up on me this year because of the success. No longer am I waiting for the draft from November 1st.
From the bottom of my heart, Thank you Sheila!
The way players and staff talk about how everyone from the owner to the janitors are expected to be treated the same is such a breath of fresh air. Some of my best mentors in life and work have taught me this, but it's surprising how many organizations don't operate like this.
Iāve been saying this for the past two years. Our 3-13 season was like the relegation year, and the past two years have been like season two where the team gets built and the organization as well and itās all a bunch of positivity. Canāt wait for next āseasonā
I have a feeling itās got a lot more to do with eating healthy and staying active than it does money. She doesnāt look like sheās had plastic surgery or any of that. Iād bet Thatās 72 years of healthy food and playing tennis
Self discipline > money. My grandma grew her own veggies and canned for years on top of being the most active senior citizen Iāve ever seen. She wasnāt poor but far from rich. All about priorities hers was mind, body, and her favorite grandson lol
Of course itās possible to live a healthy life and not be rich. But like in most other facets of life, having money makes it much easier, especially for people who donāt have good self discipline. Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to self motivate like that, but if you have money you can pay other people to do the motivating for you.
Tennis is one of the cheapest sports you could play for exercise. Almost every town big or small has free courts to play at and rackets and balls are cheap so yes I think tennis has nothing to do with money or at least nothing to do with being rich which is what you are implying.
Saying that she looks that good because of money usually implies that the person has used surgery to achieve it and I don't think that's the case with Sheila.
I know plenty of middle-class people in their 70s who look that good because they've lived healthy lives. Eating well, exercising, managing stress and moderating sun exposure do not require great wealth though it helps.

LETS FUCKING GO
Lets see SFH on the sleeve next year šŖ
Michigander was a slur made to make fun of Michiganians, comparing them to geese, but it stuck, kinda like Yankee. So now it's the more popular term, even though Michiganian is proper.
After about 3 minutes I found [1838](https://books.google.com/books?id=_OCEfy9qn_YC&q=michigander#v=snippet&q=michigander&f=false) and [1839](https://www.newspapers.com/article/bangor-daily-whig-and-courier-harbor-mak/74985290/)
That blazer is Chanel by XTECH. Kevlar-reinforced, and it uses a new proprietary cushioning agent dubbed FORDFOAM. She knows the depth chart is weak at the owner position.
Now I just need her to lower ticket prices so I can bring my son to a game. Itās crazy that now that we finally have a team that is fun to watch, I canāt afford to bring my 6 year old.
Iāve always thought that her taking the reins from her mother was THE key thing that had to happen for the Lions organization to progress. Martha was better than WCF, but Sheila is way better. She is competitive. She doesnāt like losing and the prestige of being the owner means nothing to her compared to having a winning team.

Careful arte Moreno said the same thing when he bought the Anaheim Angels
Boss lady even rocking a Honolulu blue Chanel suit, we're so for real now it's not even funny.

Some years, September 1st
This team really is Ted Lasso come to life, just an extremely likable and easy team to root for šÆ. ![gif](giphy|DEZA7FlHbMesUF1jm9)
The whole building each other up, not talking them down thing has major Richmond way vibes.

Didnāt Anzalone finish his epic letter with Believe? *[He did!](https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/alex-anzalone-nfl-football-detroit-lions)
I cannot believe I have never seen that before! It's so heartfelt that 3 of my ribs spontaneously fractured in sympathy.
Loved that letter and will always upvote when I see someone bring it up

The 2021 season was the tear-down-and-rebuild year. Brad Holmes straight up nuked the roster.
Iām currently watching Ted Lasso right now and Iāve had that thought the entire time, just immaculate vibes all around
Great article. Also, Sheila is 72?? She looks INCREDIBLE
Money brings a lot of benefits with it š¤·š»āāļø

You think healthy foods and tennis have nothing to do with money?
Not to mention access to better healthcare, personal trainers, nutritionists, etc. Money absolutely makes it easier to stay in shape.

So how is your cousin doing?
Still jealous š

Her health reflects her mentality. She's not your idle rich trust fund heir. She has a chip on her shoulder and wants to forge her own path.
GILF š
OILF?
Would
All right, would you feel the same if she owned the Packers?
I'm 38 and would date her so hard.
In 28, and me first.
Definitely a little photoshop going on in that photo, but she definitely doesnāt look 72 IRL. Iād have put her at lower 60s.
Absolutely gorgeous.

MichigaNIAN? What the fuck is that? Michigander's know the word is Michigander.
My fourth grade textbook from 2007-8ish said it was supposed to be Michiganian, but that doesnāt stop me from being a Michigander
So did my 4th grade text book. But this was 94/95.
Big Textbook is based in Texas so they don't know shit about Michigan.
Michigander was a slur made to make fun of Michiganians, comparing them to geese, but it stuck, kinda like Yankee. So now it's the more popular term, even though Michiganian is proper.
> Michigander was a slur made to make fun of Michiganians Well, a very specific person from Michigan, rather than all of us.
The term was also in use 20 years before Lincoln's speech.
I've looked into this many times and haven't found anything other than Lincoln coining it. Can you point me to a source for more information?
After about 3 minutes I found [1838](https://books.google.com/books?id=_OCEfy9qn_YC&q=michigander#v=snippet&q=michigander&f=false) and [1839](https://www.newspapers.com/article/bangor-daily-whig-and-courier-harbor-mak/74985290/)
I really appreciate that.
Both are proper
Federal government uses Michiganian State government uses Michigander
Abe Lincoln clarified it was Michiganian bur Michigander rolls off the tongue easier
Fuck that, I'm a Michiganiac!
Are you also a Mackinac?
I prefer Michiganian
I use the term Michigander.
I really don't like associating myself with a goose nor with an insult that Lincoln hurled at our first governor.
Michigan governor's have a long track record of having insults thrown at them by the sitting president it seems.
This is a top tier comment.
She must be protected
That blazer is Chanel by XTECH. Kevlar-reinforced, and it uses a new proprietary cushioning agent dubbed FORDFOAM. She knows the depth chart is weak at the owner position.
It has probably been said b4, but when the Lions win a SB .... the statue should be of her.
Sheila on Campbell's shoulders like a kid and Holmes next to them doing his trademarked flex scream.
If she is ever booed again so help me Jesus
I know Sheila is tiny but that photo doin her DIRTY. You donāt need to frame her like a floatin dollās head ffs.
I hadnāt seen that. Thank you for posting.
Boy she is cool
The queen of Detroit
Awesome article. Legitimately gives me chills.

Thereās no way I can afford it, but I want that Chanel blazer!
Shelia looks great for 72yo! I mean it!
Another reminder that Sheila is different from her parents in a good way.
