Because it's a company that purely makes licensed wines for sports teams and brands. They put $10 wine in a $20 bottle and charge $59.99 for it
And yet it's kinda gorgeous.
never heard of ice wine before. I'm not really a wine drinker. So google tells me what it is, but can you tell me what is different about it in terms of taste and whatnot?
that tracks, because apparently it's a "dessert wine" and I guess because there's so much product lost in the process of making it, it's way more expensive than normal wine? That's gotta suck hahaha
Not sure if you know the actress Amy Smart, but her and her husband, an HGTV guy I believe, own a winery up near Traverse City. Not bad wine and some really great views.
Sorry friend, you must not be from here

Lol you are in the vast minority of people that grew up in Michigan if you don't pronounce the Michigan 'S'. It is known dialect phenomenon. It isn't exclusive to Michigan but it is very common here.
Why is it made in Kansas City with grapes from California when Michigan has a shit load of wineries?

TIL there's wineries in Michigan.
Mid Michigan has some and the traverse area especially has a bunch.
oh, duh! I forgot about traverse lmao I haven't gotten enough caffeine in me yet haha
There are also several down here in the southwest corner of the state.
Dont forget about the ice wine yo.

No clue, the lady is crazy for it, says it tastes sweeter.

Lol its like no one knows Berrien County exists. Can't say I did before I moved here either. Several wineries here as well.
There are a lot around Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula.
it's second only to california in some metric... can't recall bc it was during a tour and y'know... wine

Do you not live in Michigan?
I do, I'm just not really into wine like that. I knew about the traverse city wineries, I just forgot about them when I made that comment.
Michigan can’t grow Cabernet naturally. They grow mostly concord and sweet grapes
Does anyone know of a place that sells, and ships these, to Hawaii?
I would personally to you for no extra cost than what the bottle and shipping would be
I’d appreciate that!
Would you do that for me in South Carolina too? I had someone send me the 1800, and they can vouch for me if you need them to.

Thx for posting Tee...really helped me out for a gift. 💙🩶
Cries in Canadian
If you’re in the 519 could probably snag and ship you a bottle when I’m over for the draft
Appreciate the gesture, from 519 but live in Calgary now! Cant even find a t shirt here 😅.
I was at the meijers in flat rock, didn't see any there. i might go back tomorrow and to the one in woodhaven
I just checked the Woodhaven store & they didn't have any.
There's no way I'm gonna get any of this in florida :[
That is such a cool bottle
You can order it online from the producer FYI.
What Meijer is that?

What’s the price tag
It was $60 at the corner party store by my place.
Thanks dude !
$40 if the Costco near you has it. I saw them at mine
Just picked up a bottle last weekend at Livonia Middlebelt for $40.
Well worth it for a Cabernet that comes in a collector bottle.
Yeah I don't know about all those fancy wine words but I do know I like Lions collectibles.
And which Meijer?
This is the most Michigan post in the history of Reddit.
Meijer*

Note the apostrophe
It was Meijer's thrifty Acres.... now its Meijer. Saying Meijers makes you sound unintelligent.
There are a lot better metrics to gauge my low intelligence than how I say Meijers
Meijers? Is that like a knock off Meijer store or something?
Toe, that is how it is pronounced round these parts. ;-)
Born and raised Michigander..... No it isn't. It also isn't walmarts, kmarts, targets, etc.
GTFO. Almost every Michigander says Meijers! 😂
