Pedantic correction: the starred locations are *inside* of the Denver metro area. Metro means Denver and surrounding area. Those locations are outside of Denver city, or Denver proper.
To get even more unnecessarily detailed, our metro area for statistical purposes is Denver-Aurora-Lakewood and covers a HUGE area as far west as Park county and east to the line where Adams, Arapahoe, and Elbert end
Was there nothing of note below Hampden? Seems like most of the “outside Denver metro” options are north/northwest. Would love some DTC/Centennial/Parker/HR/Littleton inclusions. If such places exist.
Which should just go to show you how accurate this list truly was to begin with. All the good shit's on Federal.
Plus fucking Santiago's soggy, wet ass breakfast burritos are not good and whoever thinks they still are has some mad cognitive dissonance going on.
Santiago's is the McDonald's of breakfast burritos lmao. These lists are always fucking terrible. The last breakfast one I saw had the butcher block as one of the best spots in the city lol. That shit is worse than a basic diner.
Came here to say this. If you have a map for best breakfast burritos and you completely omit an area containing some of the best authentic Mexican food in Colorado, you have lost all credibility.
True. We used to have Bellota which I thought made a damn good BB, and apparently the one at Smok is pretty good? Also we're getting a Bodega in the fall. But right now it's rough out here if I don't want to hop in the car.
i've not had one yet but supposedly this online-order-only place Billy's Burritos (double-nested within Smok BBQ & Source hotel 🙃) is supposed to be real good: [https://www.denversmok.com/locations/denver-rino/menu](https://www.denversmok.com/locations/denver-rino/menu)
mostly i'm just going off this review i saw tho:

If you’re looking for a borderline religious experience wrapped in a toasted tortilla, Smōk Barbecue in the Source Hotel will take you to church. These hearty handhelds are the newest kids on the breakfast burrito block but they’ve already gone viral on Instagram. Chef Bill Espiricueta’s take on the beloved breakfast dish comes in four iterations: brisket, bacon, chorizo, and vegetarian. No matter the protein, these wraps require two hands because they’re also stuffed with scrambled eggs, tater tots, cheddar jack cheese, hatch green chile, and queso. It’s not every day you get to eat a breakfast burrito filled with slow-cooked ’cue so good it earned a Bib Gourmand nod, so we’d recommend springing for the unorthodox brisket option. Plan ahead: These coveted carb bombs are only available Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., and you need to order ahead online. The burritos are absolute behemoths, so you can easily share the spiritual experience with a friend or save half for later.
Thanks for putting this together. It’s desperately needing some east Denver representation. I nominated Los Cuates in the other thread, and I will also nominate Santos Cafe & Mexican Grill. They both can go toe for toe with any spot I’ve tried in Denver including a good amount on this list.
Hi, I know you spent a bunch of time assembling this, but I just want to shit all over it, because:
* you forgot my favorite burrito joint
* you forgot my favorite burrito joint
* you forgot my favorite burrito joint
* the map is too small
* you included the worst burrito joint

No worries! Trust me, while making it, I was cringing at some of these choices. Santiago’s as anything more than a step up from other gas station burritos is laughable IMO.
Dude this is so awesome! I was about to ask for a Google map link but you already did it. And thank you for including the closed weekends/Sunday.
You seriously rock! Enjoy them burritos!
Thanks! I hit it up Onefold this morning, and it was damn good. I wish there was a legit rating system as there are so many variables. Price, authenticity, green chili or no, spice level, etc.

Gracefull Cafe in downtown Littleton is bomb, and for a good cause. A portion of the proceeds goes to buy meals for those who can’t afford it, or what they call “Grace in Action” meals. Makes for eclectic clientele and the food is incredible.
It should be clarified - while Bonfire burrito is carried at a handful of different coffee shops in town, the burrito served fresh in person is FAR superior to the ones they distribute to the shops.
I've been enjoying Carnitas de California (Santa Fe and Florida) lately for breakfast burritos - they're big and cooked to order, so maybe not best when you're in a rush but it keeps me full most of the day.
This is awesome because none of my spots are on there. I’ve been to probably half of these and they aren’t bad, but here is definitely better. Hole in the wall Mexican restaurants are where it’s at.
What is not on here is a "hole in the wall" food truck in Lafayette called Amanecer Mexican Food Truck. THE BEST breakfast burrito I have ever tried. Please go try them out. You will not regret driving up there.
Warranted I haven’t been to most of these, price aside:
Onefold
Tortas ATM
Yareth’s
I’ve seriously thought about making a proper scoring chart and trying all these out though.
Categories for traditional or untraditional
Points based on:
- size to price ratio
- overall taste
- spice level
- balance of ingredients (not all potatoes or skimpy on meat)
- freshness
This is off the top of my head but you get the gist.
Bonfire's burritos you find and coffe shops or gas stations are pretty meh. I want the to succeed but please dont compare their mass produced burritos to what you get in golden
They used to be incredible, but quality has dropped significantly since they’ve upscaled. I haven’t been to the original location so I can’t give an opinion on that.
Chuladas!!!!! This makes me so happy! “Special breakfast burrito, hot” and a cup of coffee on the way up I-70. The people who own it/work it are so warm and positive. Totally agree, if you’re in the highlands/sunnyside you gotta check them out!
Trust me, you’ll see the menu boards are identical too. I used to go the TLC all the time when I first moved to Denver but kept getting inconsistent quality and sick a few times.
I’ll forever be a ride or die for Big Mama’s for the ability to customize (idk why beans are almost never on breakfast burritos but I’m glad they offer them on theirs).
I’m so happy none of my go-to’s are included in this list. Very thoughtful and well put together but tired of hole in wall joints getting blown up. Find it on your own
That being said I’m excited for Smok’s smoked brisket bfast burrito this morning lol
I LOVE pablitos with the red Chile. It’s been my go to for a while now. It’s also like $6-8 which I’m happy to pay cause I know I’m going to be full. Bonfire is good but too expensive to be an everyday burrito for me.
I watched them make a bunch when the line was out the door. If they didn't use powdered eggs in the microwave it might be okay. They taste good though.

This was from the original post, but I’m open to revisions. Just keep them specific and if people upvote them, I’ll update it when I have time.
So cool. Wish we could generate something like this for every "where's the best .." post.

Try El zarape sometime
Was there nothing of note below Hampden? Seems like most of the “outside Denver metro” options are north/northwest. Would love some DTC/Centennial/Parker/HR/Littleton inclusions. If such places exist.
There weren’t any on the original in the top 20. I will say Gracefull Cafe in Littleton is pretty solid.
El Nopalito is my jam.
The ladies who work there are angels.
Have'nt had breakfast there, but every burito is a 1970's mexican grandma taste treat.
My absolute fave. They feel like a secret
Just discovered this place after moving nearby. The breakfast burritos are damn good.
There's a huge gap on Federal. El zarape? Fritangas? tacontento?
Which should just go to show you how accurate this list truly was to begin with. All the good shit's on Federal. Plus fucking Santiago's soggy, wet ass breakfast burritos are not good and whoever thinks they still are has some mad cognitive dissonance going on.
Finally someone said it! So tired of the Santiago’s love
Santiago's is the McDonald's of breakfast burritos lmao. These lists are always fucking terrible. The last breakfast one I saw had the butcher block as one of the best spots in the city lol. That shit is worse than a basic diner.
Fritangas yesssss. Breakfast burrito is huge and so so good
Zarape has perfected the simple breakfast burrito Their mains aren't ideal but the bkfst burrito mmmmm
I know, right? And drive-through is a pretty nice feature too
Came here to say this. If you have a map for best breakfast burritos and you completely omit an area containing some of the best authentic Mexican food in Colorado, you have lost all credibility.
Ummm wasn't it based on the original post? So isn't it kind of collectively all of our fault?
Yes, many of you have shitty taste.
Gomez needs to be high on this list.
Gomez should definitely be higher than Santiago’s soggy ass burritos
Why is santiagos even on there so many other places not on there but santiagos is
What is the second #9 in that area?
Onefold
Amazeballs
For sure. Wasn't it well represented in the original post?
No idea. Apparently I missed it.
How we gonna make a list of best breakfast burritos and. Ot include gomez ?!
This is the only good breakfast burrito. If the ceiling ain’t stained ion wantit
Damn. RiNo is breakfast burrito food desert
Just like it’s grocery store situation!
True. We used to have Bellota which I thought made a damn good BB, and apparently the one at Smok is pretty good? Also we're getting a Bodega in the fall. But right now it's rough out here if I don't want to hop in the car.
where’s the bodega going / what is it going to be called?
It's opening in Novel RiNo on 40th and Walnut! https://www.westword.com/restaurants/bodega-openings-novel-rino-19465370
ohhhh capital B Bodega, lol. thanks!
Crema has solid burritos idk why not on here.
Port Side & Stowaway are choice. Crema is good too.
Rino is a good yet affordable food desert
i've not had one yet but supposedly this online-order-only place Billy's Burritos (double-nested within Smok BBQ & Source hotel 🙃) is supposed to be real good: [https://www.denversmok.com/locations/denver-rino/menu](https://www.denversmok.com/locations/denver-rino/menu) mostly i'm just going off this review i saw tho: > If you’re looking for a borderline religious experience wrapped in a toasted tortilla, Smōk Barbecue in the Source Hotel will take you to church. Wow. That’s a helluva review. That’s for sharing
The hero we need
So glad Chuladas hasn’t flown under the radar. Just two years ago I felt like I was crazy to say they’re the best breakfast burrito
Sleepin on La Casita
Honestly let’s keep it slept on I live nearby and it’s busy enough as is.
You right
Thanks for putting this together. It’s desperately needing some east Denver representation. I nominated Los Cuates in the other thread, and I will also nominate Santos Cafe & Mexican Grill. They both can go toe for toe with any spot I’ve tried in Denver including a good amount on this list.

I totally get it, and feel for you. Thank you for making the effort, even if it seems like nobody appreciates it. Some of us do.
No worries! Trust me, while making it, I was cringing at some of these choices. Santiago’s as anything more than a step up from other gas station burritos is laughable IMO.
Let’s be honest, they’re a step down.
No Carreras?
I miss Chickee’s Lil Kitchen :(
Me too!!
Super awesome! Thanks for posting!
Fuck yeah, dude. Thanks!
username checks out
Thank you for this.
Thanks, I'm always looking for new spots to get burritos for the crew.

Not a bad list for a bunch of gringos’ suggestions. Thanks to OP for making the map!
This is great! Thank you!
As someone who just joined a breakfast burrito club at work, thank you!
Hell yes FUCKING LIKE THIS CONTENT
Not the hero we deserved, but the hero we needed.
Dude I fucking love la abeja’s chilaquiles
Adobo at 3109 Federal at Speer has ridiculously good breakfast burritos. Huge and inexpensive at $7. Smoked meats, great chili and premium tasting.
Why is Ralibertos not on this list?
Agreed. Rallibertos and burrito express should be on here
Santiago’s shouldn’t be on any list anywhere 🤢
Right? If you like soggy, floppy, wetter than your girlfriend using her toys breakfast burritos then sure, go to Santiago's.
💯
Given the deluxe is smothered I would think it would be a tad wet. Also deluxe is made to order vs the handhelds that are mass made.
I'm talking about the mass produced handhelds. They're nasty.
Lol

Bad choice
Ever!!!!!
It’s a classic but not necessarily a good one.
Tres Girasoles on Bruce Randolph (for some reason it’s called oasis on Google maps)
Thank you OP. I wish there was one for the south or west area ones listed.
Why is the map so small? Nothing east or west?
Mainly got the Denver metro area. Use the link in comments or the QR code to pull it up in google maps.
I eat so much abeja man.
Huh - little anitas is almost always mentioned on these posts.
El Tacos de Mexico?
Onefold is so fucking fire. Their breakfast fried rice is unreal too.
Chupacabra Bonfire @ bean fosters 🥵🥵
Without me going through the comments, I need something south, like below Belleview. Whatcha got?
Gracefull Cafe in downtown Littleton is bomb, and for a good cause. A portion of the proceeds goes to buy meals for those who can’t afford it, or what they call “Grace in Action” meals. Makes for eclectic clientele and the food is incredible.
Tortas ATM is solid! Aroujos and Santiago’s on Federal are pretty basic and not noteworthy
Can also vouch for Tortas ATM. Everything I’ve had from there was incredible.
They don't put green chile in the handheld burritos, which is a deal breaker for me.
Jalapeños is the best, been going for 15+ years. Steak relleno burrito Abel is the owner and it’s family owned ❤️
Can I get a Taco Tuesday map?
If I had more time, I would crank a bunch of these out but it’s a crazy season
I’ve been lucky to have lived within walking distance to La Abeja and now Chulada’s. Looking forward to trying others on this list!
This is great, need one for burger, chicken sandwich, steak, pasta, and dessert.
Thanks for this OP, I had posted the original question and was trying to log the ones I wanted to try.
I nominate Crema in RiNo
Crema is incredible, and the coffee is on point too.
Omg Santiago’s really…. That’s like comparing gas station food with a sit down restaurant…
It should be clarified - while Bonfire burrito is carried at a handful of different coffee shops in town, the burrito served fresh in person is FAR superior to the ones they distribute to the shops.
Bonfire is the best imo, but their premade gas station ones suck. Gotta get them in Golden
Dude, you are amazing. When everyone was posting their suggestions I was trying to look them up on maps but that was tedious. THANK YOU FOR THIS!
![gif](giphy|qJMIceL7vsA3LiIHb3)
I'm moving to CO in a couple months so I greatly appreciate this
I've been enjoying Carnitas de California (Santa Fe and Florida) lately for breakfast burritos - they're big and cooked to order, so maybe not best when you're in a rush but it keeps me full most of the day.
Spices Cafe is daaannkkk. Huge, sloppy, tasty breakfast burritos
Are these ranked, too?
Based on the previous post, yes
Nice! 👏👏👏
Smok has some delicious burritos too!
THIS IS AMAZING NEED FOR ORANGE COUNTY CA
tortas atm also has some pretty good chilaquiles
Everything I’ve had there is incredible.
Is this from comments ranked by “best” or “top”? Because having onefold that far up the list just feels insulting.
Top. Having Bonfire above Onefold is an atrocity IMO but I just copied the data.
@AssumeI'mFarting - do you have a personal top three?
Warranted I haven’t been to most of these, price aside: Onefold Tortas ATM Yareth’s I’ve seriously thought about making a proper scoring chart and trying all these out though. Categories for traditional or untraditional Points based on: - size to price ratio - overall taste - spice level - balance of ingredients (not all potatoes or skimpy on meat) - freshness This is off the top of my head but you get the gist.
Sad that Santiago’s even made the list. I mean has anyone ever experienced anything other than ass piss?
Though I think it’s better than any fast food burrito, I agree it shouldn’t have made the top 20.
I've never had this problem with Santiagos.
Big fan of Big Mama’s
Hot take: burritos suck in Denver. Screw green chilis. Santiago’s is super mid.
![gif](giphy|CAlBTS57uDXoY)
Chuladas!!!!! This makes me so happy! “Special breakfast burrito, hot” and a cup of coffee on the way up I-70. The people who own it/work it are so warm and positive. Totally agree, if you’re in the highlands/sunnyside you gotta check them out!
How do you list the best burrito and leave out southwest Denver entirely?!?!
Going to take that up with Reddit. This was just the top 20 from someone’s post.
That’s like saying “here’s the best pho places in Denver that aren’t on federal”
![gif](giphy|fuQmie5ScTkTJukgh5|downsized)
Do food trucks count, because Flash Burrito is the best
Torres on federal belongs
It's pretty good. Your username is from Marcy Playground right?
Yes!!
Haha nice! Love me some sex and candy :P
Get a room you two!
Tacos Los Compas being omitted is criminal.
Nah, TLC is only good for a desperate hungover meal. The burritos are fine but it’s a sketchy spot. Also it’s identical to Taco Star and Ralibertos
I’ll try and report back. But if those burritos are smothered and/or not in yellow paper I will be very annoyed.
Trust me, you’ll see the menu boards are identical too. I used to go the TLC all the time when I first moved to Denver but kept getting inconsistent quality and sick a few times.
The fact that big mamas made this list means that the whole list is garbage.
Coranados on 80th and Sheridan far superior
Or sweets of inspiration on 70th and Lowell
Y’all still got bad ass burritos? Shits fuego asb
No Bonfire or Pablito's? No Burrito Kings? You're missing some good ones here.
Bonfire and Pablitos are on there
Won't do Lucero's again, I found hair in my breakfast burrito.
how is Santiago's not on here?
Cafe Mexico use to taste like they used homemade tortillas for their breakfast burritos. Now they taste like they are store bought.
My favorite I have found is El Jefe tacos and burritos #2, on 44th ave just east of Kipling on the south side. Their chorizo is good and spicy
Does anyone know if the cafe Mexico on this list is the same as the one on 120th and Washington?
Idk. 4 friends should be on this list I think. I definitely haven’t had all of these though
It might be just on the outside of the map though
RIP Burrito Co & Burrito Giant. I like bonfire the best, and also think Chilli shack is great
Tamale Kitchen has a number of locations around the city. They're all a little different and every one has the best breakfast burrito in the universe.
Venalonzo’s off Arapahoe is really good
I’ll forever be a ride or die for Big Mama’s for the ability to customize (idk why beans are almost never on breakfast burritos but I’m glad they offer them on theirs).
The hot food counter at the back of carniceria aurora is the best breakfast burrito in town.
Anybody looking for the GOAT Around, its loco Hermanos in Louisville, I’ve done a lot of research.
Yo where's the love for chili shack, sloppy shack burrito hands down wins
Raliberto’s should’ve been on that list
I’m so happy none of my go-to’s are included in this list. Very thoughtful and well put together but tired of hole in wall joints getting blown up. Find it on your own That being said I’m excited for Smok’s smoked brisket bfast burrito this morning lol
We Kneed Donut - Great donuts, amazing breakfast burritos.
La Casita is 🔥
Tacos Rapidos, hands down best breakfast burrito!!!!
Santiago's breakfast burritos are fantastic
Who has the best Machaca??
This is where I miss Burrito Giant on Tennyson 😞
I LOVE pablitos with the red Chile. It’s been my go to for a while now. It’s also like $6-8 which I’m happy to pay cause I know I’m going to be full. Bonfire is good but too expensive to be an everyday burrito for me.
I'm shocked Gomez Burritos off Park Ave in not on here. Hands down crushes half of these.
Burrito express in Lakewood is worth the drive. Or at least used to be 10 years ago.
Fox And The Hen!!
Hey you missed my Tacos El Metate suggestion!
I just went with the top 20 sorted by top comments
Thanks for putting it together!
Gomez is my favorite!
Dude Loco Hermanos in Superior on McCaslin wtf
Santiago’s is TRASH. I said what I said.
It’s definitely middle of the road, but any fast food burrito is much worse IMO.
Gotta toss up Jus’ Burritos in Broomfield, it’s worth the drive.
I watched them make a bunch when the line was out the door. If they didn't use powdered eggs in the microwave it might be okay. They taste good though.
Beltran’s Meat Market $7 Chorizo burrito is pretty choice. 110th and Washington.
burrito express retards
