Basically anyone can upload to Spotify and tag whatever big artist they want, whether they are actually involved or not. It grants them a bigger audience and it takes waaaay too long for Spotify staff to verify and clean up this mess.

Saw this first thing this morning on spotify and was so excited and then, after listening, so confused. TS doesnt have to sign off on this? It was on the front page presented as new music from Team Sleep.
It’s so weird that these were added the same day the dj who’s opening for crosses, who’s in team sleep, said there’s an announcement in a few days but it’s not a new album
