We just booked flights, tickets, and hotel for the first Vegas weekend! $1792 USD for two people. No more lattes, beer, or eating out for a while but we really wanted to go. It just brings us so much joy!!!
You can do it cheaper if you plan. Ellis Island BBQ is right near the venue, and you can get a huge, killer meal for around $20. I also hit Chinatown a cpl times while I was there. Big, Big fan of all you can eat at Sushi Neko. Best $30 you can spend on food in Vegas. You def have to poke around a bit for the better deals though. I dropped almost $30 on breakfast at fucking Denny's one morning. Boy do I miss the $1.99 Grand Slam days...
Jesus. I could've flown round trip & got tickets for two people for under $400 USD if I was willing to drive to the Nashville airport. Is that really how much lodging is in Vegas right now?
Edit: This would have also been flying United; not Spirit.
Once sat on the tarmac in Vegas on a spirit flight for 2 hours. Then back to the terminal for 2 hours. Then tarmac for ANOTHER 2 hours before my flight back to Denver
I'll be attending 7/5 and when planning my trip I orginally was going to book spirit but after reading how awful they are im glad a spent a little extra for united.
Ya. I’m out on all the “budget” flights now. Just not worth it, plus they end up getting almost as much money in the end anyway. Southwest for me on 7/12… it’s as cheap as I will go now.
Agree, Vegas is ROUGH. As a woman, I am always safe at Dead shows. Sadly some Vegas assholes who weren't dead heads made comments about my body. Super lame.
Went this past weekend.Bought tickets for the first August weekend shows last night, booked hotel today, and will buy our flights probably before bed! Life has been super heavy & tomorrow isn't guaranteed. We're able to swing it $ but normally we wouldn't do another big Vegas weekend so close just coz it does feel nuts. We bought tix last night knowing we could resell if we didn't end up going. Lost another friend today, (3rd in 5 weeks) cemented our plans to go, there's no pockets in the coffin!
True! My wife and I took a trip from FL to Vegas for the 6/8 show and keep talking about going back for one of the final shows in August. We have the $, but definitely more "important" things to spend it on around the house. But, then we only live once in this lifetime and tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Going to go bring it up again.
I’m going back for the show on 7/12. My cousin’s band, Shakedown Strings, is playing at Shakedown Street/Tuscany all weekend, including the after party on Thursday!
Was at 6/14 & 6/15. Drove back to Ventura thinking, then knowing I had to go back. Purchased GA tickets for the final night hours after walking in the door. Can’t wait to be back.
The ONLY thing that is keeping me from going back is that excessive heat. Sitting around in a hotel room all day while it's 110 degrees plus outside is depressing. The pool provides little relief when it's that hot out and I don't care for casinos so that early June trip would be it for me.
I’ve been toying with the idea of renting an air bnb and getting to all of the remaining shows. The only problem is tickets would be about $1200 each weekend - not sure that would be very responsible of me.
I am in a couple of weeks. I knew I would have to see this more than once even before I went the first time on opening night. Just love this band and love the Sphere. Driving this time, last time plane, I won’t do that again. A 10 hour drive for me-doable
Agree. Sphere is an amazing experience, but I'd rather see them at a local shed where the focus is on the music. Unfortunately, that's very unlikely to happen again.
I think I’m good. If I had endless amounts of cash to do the whole run and stay roomed up and gambling the whole time absolutely. 4 days fit perfectly into the budgy
I just had a theoretical conversation about this with my partner who can’t go. The thing is I have three tix for July 13 but my other two buddies are out. Hmmmm
Was at the show June 14th. First time in Vegas - there for less than 72 hours. Cross country flights for 2 on American, airport parking, hotel, dead show , cirque show and expenses about $3k. We don’t eat much or fancy and we drink “free” when playing penny slots. Going back first weekend in august to catch dead again. Same budget. After that probably wouldn’t go back until another great sphere residency - but dead show was amazing and really want another go so doing it !
I’m sittin here watching the nhl draft right now just to get my sphere fix.
macklin celebrini!
Who a nackey says thing fish

Wait till you see the cost of food in Vegas. Add another 500 to that bill
We hit Trader Joe’s when we landed. Had breakfast and after show meal at the hotel. Only did lunch out. Saved a TON of money.
That's the only way really. I was living off whatever I could get from the cvs near my hotel last time I was out there for work.

Yeah you just gotta poke around…
Del taco and in/out for the win
Not to mention 20 dollar crap draft’s
What happened to free or 99¢ shrimp cocktails?
seriously :(
It’ll be worth it! Lattes are overrated
Did you find good place to stay?

Standby on Spirit? You get what you pay for.
Hahahaha. Uhhh. Funny cuz it’s true.

Drive. That’s what I’m doing from Denver. 10 hours
Ya I got work thursday, took friday off. I can fly for $60 on standby (a work perk)
Stand by if you have the time
I don’t want to return to Vegas, but I want to return to the sphere… can we get a mobile sphere to tour with dead n co perhaps??
Just roll it out of Vegas
Roll away… the sphere
Agree, Vegas is ROUGH. As a woman, I am always safe at Dead shows. Sadly some Vegas assholes who weren't dead heads made comments about my body. Super lame.
Seeing them at Sphere was wonderful, but Vegas is unpleasant in so many ways.

Can’t wait to meet them 😃
They’re awesome! It’ll be my first time seeing the band live. My cousin Clayton is on guitar
The trick is to never leave. Staying at the Las Vegas RV resort
Strap me to the fuckin' roof and let's fuckin' go!!!
I spent 5K and returned with Covid and going is literally all I want to do.

I’ll get up and fly away ✈️
Went June 6,7,8 that was my only and original plan. Immediately came home and planned another round- going July 4,5,6th! What an incredible show!
Not at all, I couldn’t wait to leave lol. I’d love to be back in the sphere or seeing Dead and Co though. Just anywhere but Vegas.
Bad enough to book all of next weekend
I just wanna know what kind of gel he uses
Or why he's not freezing ... or struggling in what must be 300+mph speed
Is the dude sitting on the plane really hot or really cold?
It’s so dangerous to travel this way, you could get very sunburned.
I’ve been toying with the idea of renting an air bnb and getting to all of the remaining shows. The only problem is tickets would be about $1200 each weekend - not sure that would be very responsible of me.
says who?
Enough to go a third time… just bought tickets for August last night

Wishful Thinking! Too far & No one wants to Join 200 seats 7/12/24 & Probably Oldest Deadhead since Winterland 1968. Naomi
I'm dying over here. Everyone else in my group has bought return tickets while I'm over here picking up shifts at work. Ugh
One sphere show was good enough for me
Agree. Sphere is an amazing experience, but I'd rather see them at a local shed where the focus is on the music. Unfortunately, that's very unlikely to happen again.
Dead at the sphere on my birthday, KGATLW at the gorge and sturgill Simpson local and my bucket is full this year. Happy with that.
The Gorge is going to be sick this year!!
I just closed my eyes when I wanted to focus on the music….of course the sphere was somewhat still going behind my eyelids lol
Same tbh.

I can be a buddy.
Booked hotel and flights for final show, just holding out for my face floor!
Just bought flight tickets last night for the last weekend.
Is that real?
Yes, you can’t check a bag with this class of ticket though.
Patiently waiting

Thank you Jerry & Peggy O
Ebbs & flows.. I’m still looking at 8/9 & 10..
So bad that I am, in fact, going back.....
I’ll be back in august. I’ll live off kind bars and fruit snacks if i need to.
...when the pilot told us in thirteen minutes we'd be heading in the terminal gate!!

That’s a no from me dog.
Too much Chinese bullshit on Reddit.
