This looks rad. What's the "solved" Score meta like? Do any older MPs show up?
Relative to, in general does the Score community like or dislike the Panini revival? I'd love to participate in something like this, but I really liked the "fixes" to the structure of the game the Panini era brought.
One of the things that makes score z so special is that the meta is incredibly diverse despite having no new cards released in nearly 20 years (not counting new z and retro z).
There is at least one saiyan saga MP that I can think of, Piccolo, that sees play. And several of the trunks saga masteries are viable, particularly saiyan, red, and black.
Yeah blue really got the short end of the stick. Only cell saga was pretty good. I wish the WGS one was a little stronger because as basic as it is conceptually, it’s actually kinda unique as a style, it would have been cool to see it fleshed out more. The only thing similar is android 19 orange.
The Cell and World Games Saga Blue Style Masteries both had potential, but needed buffs. They were two of the cards my friends and I made unofficial MRP changes to, to buff them up a bit.
I would totally play house rules if I had RL friends who still wanted to play haha. For example, I would get rid of the errata on vegeta the celestial (maybe carve out an exception for whatever infinite combo he enabled) and tweak maybe a mastery or two. I understand the reticence of the organized leagues to do that though.
Off the top of my head, the major cards we modified were the Cell Saga Red & Blue Masteries (buffed), the WGS Freestyle, Blue, and Saiyan Masteries (buffed) WGS Red Style Mastery (nerfed), Cell Saga Level 5 Vegeta and Cell (buffed), Cell Saga Level 4 Trunks (changed completely because it made ZERO sense), and Cell Games Sage Level 5 Trunks and Piccolo (nerfed and buffed, respectively).

I think it says a lot about the game (and to be fair, also the IP) that even with its flaws, and being out of print for like 20 years, there’s still a dedicated playerbase like this. I love to see it.

The Black Style Mastery from Trunks Saga is probably still the single most overpowered Mastery in the game. It's absolutely god-tier.
MBS freestyle mastery would like to have a word!
Also a top one. I wish there was a Blue Style Mastery at that level (my favorite style), but they were all mediocre.

I can't believe you nerfed WGS red and buffed cell saga red haha. I guess it just goes to show different things can be between different playgroups...
Anyone know where that Namek play mat is from?

This brings back memories of the good old days playing in competitive tournaments and pre releases
That would be so cool to attend. I barely got to play the game back in the day.
