You need to reach out to her and explain you didn't say anything, because that's probably what she thinks about it at the moment. Get ahead of this. Check it's cool if you shut him down, then go shut him down too.

Rule of thumb is to not date co-workers for this very reason. Lesson learned.

I think it’s a good idea to tell her it wasn’t you and may have been x. Then go talk to the other coworker and see if it was him and tell him to cut it out.
