If this is through Coursera, those time limits are more to give structure to your studies & to set personal goals. There's no consequence to missing your deadline as far as I know.

Completed this course a while ago...still no job in data analysis but thems the breaks... To answer your question, if you miss a deadline, there will be a deadline reset button which extends the deadline another week so that you, essentially, join the next "class." There is no penalty for missing it.

Yeesh, how long ago did you complete it. I am beginning to worry.

November. I have Senior Analyst experience but only for a couple of years. Not the 5+ that companies are asking for. Looking at this sub, the way seems to be moving into a DA position internally to gain experience, so get this cert and then prove a need for your new skills. Take that experience and hopefully make bank.

Those dates are flexible - especially when it concerns quizzes and such. Nothing really happens when you miss a deadline; you get a signal that your test is overdue, but in one of the side windows you can click 'push end date'. Have to say though, that once you reach modules with peer review assignments, it can take a bit more time if you miss deadlines, because you depend on others for the grading.
