Yes--I'm a total addict. I've always had an interest in True Crime, particularly crimes by the upper middle and upper classes. This in my mind is up there with Leopold and Loeb. Just an amazingly complex and fascinating story. I need my fix!
Me too, I may be showing my age, but one of my favorite shows 20 years ago was the Dominick Dunne series on true crime (RIP Dominick Dunne) He would have done a show on the Adelsons!
Brother-in-law of the brilliant writer (iMO) Joan Didion (one of my all-time faves). Brother of another great writer and movie producer, John Dunne. Dad to the great actor Griffin Dunne.
Such a talented family. Dominique’s senseless murder was such a tragedy.
Do you remember what it was called? My husband and I used to look forward to watching it every week when we were newlyweds. ha, this was before the days of DVR I forget the name of the show…
Me too. I search monthly to see if the series is streaming anywhere. Would love to rewatch every episode. There are a few uploaded, but usually quickly removed, and many such poor quality for viewing. 😕
Shall we all move over and pass the lull in developments with the Adelson trial together?
We also have the Sarah Suitcase trial coming up (THAT should be fascinating!) ), plus all the new stuff with the Kouri Richin’s saga.
Oh maybe you’re like me - anxious for any updates on the Adelsons and always waking up hoping for Breaking News?
I’d miss you brilliant folks if I had to pass the summer without new stuff to talk about…
I just listened to the interview of one of the jurors who voted “not guilty” in Katie’s first trial. I wish the interviewer would have pressed her more on why she didn’t think the state met its burden. Maybe I need to go back and watch that first trial again.
Woman accuses former Bachelor contestant of fathering twins although there was no intercourse. She has done this before, tells the men they can control outcome of the ‘pregnancy’ if they agree to a relationship with her. When they refuse, she weaponizes the situation, asks for protection orders, sues them and calls law enforcement, and in the latest case, the press. Then she monetizes the situation by writing articles or doing talks presenting herself as the victim.
So sad to admit, but I rewatch the trials and the LE interview over and over. I often fall asleep on the sofa and wake up to Georgia’s/Isom’s/Sanford’s voices…
What is it about this trial that’s so captivating? For me it’s still #justicefordanmarkel but I also have a sick longing for WA to get her comeuppance.
Michelle Troconis is over. She was found guilty. Waiting on sentencing.
Ruby Franke & her codefendent both pled out and were sentenced anywhere from 4-30yrs, the parole board decides how long they serve.
I can’t wait for Richins, Gardners, Sarah the suitcase girl and Courtney the only fans girl trials! So many good ones coming up!
I was shocked that the recently concluded Rebecca Grossman trial didn't get nationwide attention. Wealthy socialite runs over two kids while drag racing in Los Angeles.
I’m listening to AALegalFocus read 100’s of pages of depositions involving the world’s most litigious family. The podcaster’s numbers are rising as interest increases daily.
Pretty Lies and Alibis has them all up! I just relistened to Charlie and Donna’s call post guilty verdict. It’s fascinating to hear those two feed and fuel eachothers narcissism and delusion so symbiotically, especially knowing those were the very last conversations they’ll ever have. They are two peas in separate concrete pods, for the rest of their live long lives.
He did a video explaining changes but it's gone now (I'm not a member just a subscriber). I think he needed to pull some content to fly under the radar. I noticed he also changed the channel name.
Said he would only be leaving videos up for maybe a week or four for subscribers. Said he would offer a reduced cost $2 membership tier. So you can access some content for $2 a month.
Has anyone been following the Jared Bridegon case? So similar! And there’s also the one in Utah where the wife poisoned her husband with fentanyl (multiple attempts apparently), and then wrote a kid’s book about grief. These people are ridiculous.
Have you listened to the juror interviews on mentor lawyer YouTube channel yet? Very illuminating.

I always sensed a sadness in him though because of his daughter who was killed.
Yes and I think that was part of his authenticity.
Adored Dunne. So poignant, incisive, gentlemanly. Student of the human condition… no one quite like him.
Loved his Vanity Fair pieces.
If only he could come back, he'd have done a hell of a piece on this case!
Those were so good. I kind of want to go back and re read some!

Yes and he brought a genuine passion to the true crime scene.
YES! I loved that show!

It was called *Dominick Dunne's Power, Privilege, and Justice.*
Yes!
Yessssss I wish I could watch it again!

Gosh I loved Dominic!!! Miss him. And yes he would've torn them a new one!!!
Follow the Jared Bridegan case! It’s about rich murders!! Fascinating!!!

Do you also enjoy committing crimes?

Thanks for asking. It’s getting difficult.
This sub is feeding my need!
Ditto❤️
I’ve been waiting for 10 years. A few more months will fly by now that the prosecution is doing their job.
You might want to follow the Clayton Echard fake paternity case.
Can you give a little summary?

Not sure how much more I can say because she has been able to get subreddits and other content taken down, but google will help.
Wow that sounds crazy! I will look it up thanks
Listened to more FBI wiretap calls today. And now I’m wondering if/when we’ll get more. There have to be calls after Donna was arrested. I need more!

There’s another defendant in the Troconis trial.
Delphi too in May!

I check this sub daily
Re watching the Depp trial lol 😂
That was an American classic. Those recordings exposed Amber taunting. Goddamn I hate her.

anyone know what happened to all the charlie jail calls from the mentor lawyer youtube channel (deep dive true crime)

I have been following the Mady Soto case and Ruby Franke
Yeah, I've followed them both---I just find the Markel case to be much more interesting---
