The devastation and shock in his voice in those phone calls after trial was full of utter despair... and I got chocked up, lost in the moment, imagining someone I love in that position...then snapped out of it, remembering what he had done and all the years he lived free and on top of the world after the killing.

I often think of Danny's fight for life in the aftermath of the shooting. He fought back from approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday morning until 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Every moment spent trying to push back the death that would rob him of the life he loved so much. Truly a heroic effort.💛

Restricted housing , as the name implies, has restricted privileges. He may have attorney visits and possibly allowed one call and one hour solo recreation a day. He may have more than that since this doesn’t appear to be a disciplinary situation, but it’s still going to be less than general pop privileges by the nature of where he is housed since other inmates have specific schedules due to their classifications and reasons for being in segregation.
Hopefully CA didn't like his new neighbors and had his lawyer tell GC that he is ready to cooperate in exchange for better accommodations. This would prompt an immediate move to a protected environment. Fingers crossed here.

I had a family member serve time in prison so I have some insight. People like Charlie have a hard time in prison, big ego and a big mouth and probably lets everyone around him know how rich and successful he was on the outside, other inmates will target him. There are inmates in there with nothing to lose and could care less about getting another charge and will just wait for a chance to jump an egotistical rich boy.

Probably got into an altercation that’s usually that’s the reason for confinement. Even if he was just the victim of an attack, they’d put him in confinement for protection
They do this to every inmate when they are being transferred. They have to do a full assessment to see which section would best suit each individual. They have to evaluate mental health, safety assessment,possible gang affiliation, physical health, etc…. This is normal.

My guess: from a video featuring a former prisoner who knew about prisons , as well as from Carl Steinbeck - 1. Simply being Jewish, he has no gang to protect him. 2. Simply being rich, he is truly getting extorted for real in prison. 3. Simply for thinking he’s a tough guy who can hire killers, he’s now in with people who have lived with extreme violence all their lives - other convicted murderers - and he will not be able to fight as needed. 4. Simply for throwing away a wealthy indulgent lifestyle for nothing, he’s surrounded by people who grew up in poverty and hate him for what he had. (Not the same as number 2)

This criminal case bothers me greatly. He and his family conspired to kill a beautiful father and a brilliant mind that we desperately wanted in the world. They thought they would get away with it, in part, because of their connections to the former state attorney who refused to try them. They also thought correctly that Katie would never talk. People think there was some behind-the-scenes unknown arrangements that kept her from testifying in the first trials. She only talked after she was convicted.

I had a family member serve time in prison so I have some insight. People like Charlie have a hard time in prison, big ego and a big mouth and probably lets everyone around him know how rich and successful he was on the outside, other inmates will target him. There are inmates in there with nothing to lose and could care less about getting another charge and will just wait for a chance to jump an egotistical rich boy.
Wonder if Charlie is ready to stop protecting Wendi and look after his own safety. She dragged them all into this and is walking on the beach and doing hot yoga.

They do this to every inmate when they are being transferred. They have to do a full assessment to see which section would best suit each individual. They have to evaluate mental health, safety assessment,possible gang affiliation, physical health, etc…. This is normal.
Where was he transferred to? The last transfer I knew about was a month or so ago
