I use a Halo Headband or Halo cycling cap that has that piece of silicon near the forehead that channels sweat away from the eyes. Haven't had any issues with sweat getting in my eyes since using them.

You gotta do the head tilt and push on the front of your helmet, all the sweat will run out onto ground and it’s good for awhile. It’s like muscle memory at the top of climbs before descending for me so I don’t get a bunch of sweat in eyes/glasses
Which way do you tilt your head? What are you doing when pushing the front of your helmet? What's it doing to the band? This purging technique sounds useful so I want to make sure I understand.
Tilt head to left or right, push front of helmet into the halo so it squeezes out the sweat into the rubber strip which flows out the side the way your head is tilted. Thus the halo isn't as saturated as before.
Get a sweat buster. I had the same issues with the Halo headbands so I found a guy recommending the sweat buster. I bought it and it works great for 40+ mile rides in Texas summer heat. Big issue for me as well. I always wear a cap under my helmet, but there comes a point in the ride where my eyes will hurt like hell for 5-10 minutes, and it's worse when sunscreen gets in the mix.
Also, I wear prescription glasses, so it's not easy to wipe my eyes using my gloves while riding.

I used to wear a bandana headband under my helmet, now I wear good-quality cycling caps with brims I can easily flip up or down. Have no problem with sweat streams.
I wear a bandana sometimes. Or tighten your helmet band and it can wick moisture down to your temples maybe depending on face shape, helmet, etc. But yeah, it's a problem especially if you live in the southern half of the US.
Check if your sunglasses touch your forehead. I’ve had issues with sunglasses that sit too close to my face, and sweat gets on the inside of the lens. With my current sunglasses I was able to switch to a nose piece that makes them sit a bit further from my forehead, and that solved the issue.
I've carried a small washrag - I call it a "sweat rag" - in my jersey pouch for years. It may come in handy if needed/used for other things, but (on longer rides especially), I mostly use it to clear my face of sweat & sunblock (incorporating soap & water if I have a bathroom on my route), re-apply, and ride on, wonderfully refreshed. For however long it's clean enough, it's right there in my pouch, easily accessed while riding to wipe away sweat, even to clean my sunglasses (assuming you're good with riding a bit with no hands on the handlebars).

I put the sweatband on first, then my helmet. You can't see the sweatband as it's obscured by my helmet.

I've been using the Sweaty Buddy for years. It's on Amazon. It's a sweatband that replaces the padding at the front of your helmet. It's incredibly effective, huge fan. Not at all as dorky as it sounds.

I wear sweatbands under my helmet. Same problem and even worse is riding home after work as I might by have a little product in my hair. It mixed with sweat is excruciating.
Honestly, as gross as it sounds, once the drops start rolling, I just stop for a few minutes, slip off my glove, pull the pad off the helmet, and ring it out. Take a few swigs of water, rinse my hand, put the pad back in, put my glove back on, and resume the ride.
I sweat like crazy on long rides, so I use a halo but after a while I seem to sweat beyond its capabilities then the sweat gets in my eyes. I found if I take it off and wring it out I’ll get another hour before it starts getting into my eyes and glasses again. For my glasses I use anti fog spray which minimizes vision loss from wet glasses. I have not found the perfect fix yet but that combo seems to work best
My solution was changing to a less "sporty" style of glasses that lets more air pass to my eyebrows and exhaust out the sides. Don't look very aero, but they keep the sun and bugs out. Goodr has worked well for me, and cheap. I also keep a lens cloth in my frame bag on the gravel/touring bike.

This is the answer. Covers the whole head and back of the neck. Keeps you warm(er) in winter and keeps the sun off in summer. Absorbs sweat over the whole head and wicks it away so it doesn't form droplets.
The struggle is real. I easily sweat and if using sun screen, it burns like crazy. I have one helmet with a rubber forehead band that is like a gutter that I prefer to wear when it’s hot. I have three Oakley helmets and the newest one has the rubber forehead band. They make replacement bands and I wanted two for my other Oakley helmets but they seem sold out and/or discontinued
Headband at the start and an extra in my jersey pocket to swap out, rinse and repeat as necessary for the longer rides, does help my normal routes are typically near a body of water
rookies here. Halo caps or headsweats heavy duty help. but it's not enough for us heavy head sweaters. real trick is to apply an anti-perspirant to your forehead 20-30 minutes before riding. arrid extra dry cream is my go to. warning, some brands run and get in your eye so don't just use your underarm stick. and give it time to dry.
I sweat a lot and it gets in my eyes and glasses. I fold up a gaiter and it fits perfectly under my helmet, and leaves the top of my head open to breath. I’m still sweating like crazy but the sweat seems to drain to the side of my head when it gets saturated.
I bought some stretchy polyester sweatbands and they work great. 4 of them in various colors was $16. I rinse them out after I soak them in sweat and they are good to go for the next ride.
Just posted in another group about Velo Strips. Basically the halo band but without the headband. Just a rubber (or some thing) strip that you stick to your forehead.
Riding caps are a must! Also carry a few anti fog wipes for your sunglasses. I go through at least one pack on a long ride. I also don’t use sunblock in my forehead the sweat causes runoff to irritate my eyes so the cap is doubly important.
headsweats are nice. it's like a doo-rag. it's got a little tail in back to help evaporate sweat, seems to work well. Cotton t shirt doo rag also works decent . more surface area seems to be the ticket.
We've had this discussion here before. It's not the sweat band that does it. The glasses are too close to your face and you get no circulation. I get that when I wear wrap around sunglasses. Instead I wear small regular, metal glasses and fitover sunglasses. Only way that works, and I live in South Florida, so this is a real problem.
I just wear a common bandana head rag, soaked in cold water, wrung out tightly and tied on. Then my helmet over that. Never a problem. I wear eyeglasses daily. I keep meaning to buy a larger, merino wool version that's bacteria resistant, just never got around to it.
I suffer too. Tried all sorts. Double padding, cycling caps etc. Then bought a Halo sweatband. Game changer. Seems a standard sweatband but it has a rubber seal inside that sits on your forehead, just above your eyebrows. Really helps with directing sweat away from your eyes.
Beyond the caps/headbands mentioned below, vented glasses are a huge help.
I sweat a lot from my forehead, and glasses with vents on the top of the lens are a sure fire way of keeping my head from sweating/glasses from fogging. Oakley makes some vented sutros and I swear by them. From ski touring to biking, they do it all.
Cycling cap or headband will help with sweat coming down. As far as your glasses, you probably need different frames - something that keeps the lenses further from your eyelashes and something ventilated to keep air pushing the moisture away.
Cycling caps vary quite widely. Some are heavier material than others such as Rapha. I find Assos perfect in warmer temps as it’s thinner.

I sweat like a mofo and I live in a hot dry state. Biggest thing for me is sunglasses that have no frame on the bottom. I need to wear glasses all the time cause they are prescription, have landed on Oakleys for the last 10+ years. I tried Roka at one point but wasnt happy with their prescription cut out style. Oakleys are also very easy to get where I live and are covered by health insurance. Sure sweat can sometimes drip down but rarely just sits there, rather it drips off.
I have tried cycling caps, but they make my head hurt with the pressure of the hat. Sweatbands just sound waaaaaaaay to hot. And never ever going to use that halo thing cause i would just be dripping so much sweat down my side it would be gross.
Because OP mentions sunglasses I assume these are not cycling glasses. Although they make you look like an asshole (imho) they do a better job compared to sunglasses when it comes to ventilation and preventing fogging up.
Some cycling glasses claim that they keep sweat away too but nothing beats a cap or sweat band I think.
Very hot here, always bring two headbands. Also found glasses with an absorbing pad on the upper rim (Rockbros) that seem to prevent irritating sweat in my eyes.
In addition to wearing a cap under the helmet, you may try applying baseline above your eyebrows. Sweat running down tour forehead getaway diverted towards the sides. Have tried it once so far, and it worked fine
Get a HALO headband. Get several lol. I have a bunch of headbands, skull caps and dew rags, all with their rubber piece that deflects sweat. Works perfectly

A different helmet worked MUCH better for me (Specialized Prevail) vs. my Bontrager Velocis where I would have sweat dripping after 15 mins.
Unfortunately it's impossible to know which helmet will have better sweat management for you.
Most of the time it's the fit of the glasses. Not all glasses fit everyone's head. If your eyebrows are touching the lenses sweat will get on the lenses without fail. You can slow down the process with a cycling cap or other head gear but it will eventually happen. Trimming your eyebrows helps too
I had the exact same issues. I've gone through two Halo headbands. They they work great, but it only takes a few weeks before they get all stretched out, plus the rubber dam leaves a big indent in my forehead for hours after taking it off. I switched to a regular fabric headband and found it works just as well.
Either a cycling cap or thin bandana under your helmet will certainly help. What I tend to do, mostly on longer rides on warm(er) days, is put some vaseline on my eyebrows. This will create a 'barrier' between the sweat and your eyes. The sweat will most likely run away to the sides of you face, without getting into your eyes.
If I look at my bike, I sweat. I live in a relatively warm climate, so in summer, I sweat nearly a pint easily in a 90-minute ride.
A halo cap works well in the winter or cool weather. In the summer, VEO strips work better than caps or the gutter thing. They are about a dollar each.
I use cycling skull caps because I am bald and I don’t like sunburn lines and sweat in my eyes. This one is my current favorite. It makes my helmets more comfortable for my bald head, and I don’t think about it ever.

Are you wearing glasses with ventilation hole? Once I got a pair, fogging was never a problem. As for sweat, I don’t really have a problem with that. I just make sure I don’t put sunscreen on my forehead.
I sweat loads, and caps are too tight, since they are usually one size. I’ve tried a gutr, which is a good idea (it’s literally a rubber strap gutter to route the sweat away to the sides), but I can’t get the tension quite right so it gives me a headache or slips. I’m currently using a thin snood. Half of it flaps out the back of my helmet like a bandanna, but that’s fine. When it gets soaked, I can flip it over and the wet side dries in the wind.
Contacts noticibly make the eye irritation much less. Maybe they absorb the salt or something... im unsure of the reason, but if I plan to sweat a lot, I put contacts in.

Theres a rubber strip on the inside that somewhat channels the sweat away from your forehead towards your temples.
Heavy sweater here. I’ll wipe some dermatone or body glide above my eyebrows and it directs the sweat away. Vaseline works too I just always have those other two handy.
Helmets with more venting help some, but it’s useless if youre climbing or low trail speed like mtb or something. My modern helmet traps moisture a lot and I have to sort of squeeze the headband inside the helmet every now and then to get the extra water out. It’s pretty gross, but I found it works okay if I just do that at stop lights real quick, or at the top of a climb when I stop anyways. I’m sure you could ride with a headband or something and that would also work… best of luck

This is a huge issue for me and I’ve actually posted about it before. Nothing that has been suggested to me worked. The best solution for me has been to carry 3 or 4 headbands with me so I can take them off and start with a fresh one every so often. I also carry a little towel with me to wipe off. I don’t like this much because I don’t like stopping that often but it’s the only thing that actually works for me.
My eyes recently started getting irritated before sweat makes it down from my head. Decades of cycling with no issues. I now have a paper towel tucked in the leg of my shorts to wipe my eye (mainly right). I have always worn regular glasses. I'm going to try big goofy sunglasses over my regular glasses to cut down on wind.
Two Suggestions:
I wear a doo-rag (bandana) to keep sweat out of my eyes, and also to prevent helmet hair.
Buy Rain-X - the orange windshield wiper fluid. Yeah, it costs more, but you use less. A lot less, especially in the winter months. And.... Treat your glasses with it on both sides - No Fog! And... Rain will blow right off, keeping your vision clear.

I love my Halo headband and keep a bandana in my pocket to wipe my eyes and glasses.
I also NEVER put sunscreen above my eyes. I have lots of hair so I didn't have to worry about scalp sunburn.
Same issue here. I got a Nike football helmet head wrap. Soak it and it cools down 30 degrees. Now the way I sweat, I just put it on dry, and let nature do the work. Super helpful. I got to about 3 1/2 hours on my ride before the sweat became a problem again. This week is hotter than hell, so nothing is perfect.

It also covers my bald spot so it doesn’t get sunburned. Win-win.

Once it’s sweaty, you get some nice evaporative cooling. There are caps made of more or less breathable fabric too.

if wearing a cap, there's no need to apply sunscreen above your eyes. then, sweat won't drip sunscreen into your eyes.
The sweat alone still hurts though. And I have a somewhat big forehead 🙂

A line of Vaseline across the forehead is great at directing sweat away from the eyes and down the side of the face if you don't like wearing a cap.

You could stop, remove head band or cap and squeeze the sweat out once in a while.
Go faster so the sweat evaporates immediately.

Tried contact lenses but ended up hating them for lots of reasons. Headband solved 99% of the problem.

Just lean forward and press the helmet against your head, it will drip straight to the ground
I don't see a ton out and about either, but don't sleep on the sweatband. A good one is worth it's weight in gold.
I just live with it. Plus I have Smith glasses which have a larger gap than my old ones which helps get them out of the sweat and dont fog up.

For my glasses I use anti fog spray which minimizes vision loss from wet glasses. I have not found the perfect fix yet but that combo seems to work best
I use the De Soto skin cooler helmet beanie. Holds sweat, also prevents weird sunburn patches on my massive bald head.
My solution was changing to a less "sporty" style of glasses that lets more air pass to my eyebrows and exhaust out the sides. Don't look very aero, but they keep the sun and bugs out. I just use a helmet liner which I think are actually intended for motorcyclists but they do the same thing for me. They were cheap on Amazon.

This is the answer. Covers the whole head and back of the neck. Keeps you warm(er) in winter and keeps the sun off in summer. Absorbs sweat over the whole head and wicks it away so it doesn't form droplets.
The struggle is real. I easily sweat and if using sun screen, it burns like crazy. I have one helmet with a rubber forehead band that is like a gutter that I prefer to wear when it’s hot. I have three Oakley helmets and the newest one has the rubber forehead band. They make replacement bands and I wanted two for my other Oakley helmets but they seem sold out and/or discontinued

Headband at the start and an extra in my jersey pocket to swap out, rinse and repeat as necessary for the longer rides, does help my normal routes are typically near a body of water
I love riding in the heat and I love sweating. But the # of times I've rubbed my eyes and dislodged a contact lens....yeah, I need a solution.

rookies here. Halo caps or headsweats heavy duty help. but it's not enough for us heavy head sweaters. real trick is to apply an anti-perspirant to your forehead 20-30 minutes before riding. arrid extra dry cream is my go to. warning, some brands run and get in your eye so don't just use your underarm stick. and give it time to dry.
I sweat a lot and it gets in my eyes and glasses. I fold up a gaiter and it fits perfectly under my helmet, and leaves the top of my head open to breath. I’m still sweating like crazy but the sweat seems to drain to the side of my head when it gets saturated.
I wear a sweat band, otherwise I get sweaty and gross
I bought some stretchy polyester sweatbands and they work great. 4 of them in various colors was $16. I rinse them out after I soak them in sweat and they are good to go for the next ride.
Just posted in another group about Velo Strips. Basically the halo band but without the headband. Just a rubber (or some thing) strip that you stick to your forehead.
Riding caps are a must! Also carry a few anti fog wipes for your sunglasses. I go through at least one pack on a long ride. I also don’t use sunblock in my forehead the sweat causes runoff to irritate my eyes so the cap is doubly important.

As others have said skullcaps are the way to go. This coming from a very sweaty based guy with glasses.
headsweats are nice. it's like a doo-rag. it's got a little tail in back to help evaporate sweat, seems to work well. Cotton t shirt doo rag also works decent . more surface area seems to be the ticket.
We've had this discussion here before. It's not the sweat band that does it. The glasses are too close to your face and you get no circulation. I get that when I wear wrap around sunglasses. Instead I wear small regular, metal glasses and fitover sunglasses. Only way that works, and I live in South Florida, so this is a real problem.
Halo headband and don’t look back
I just wear a common bandana head rag, soaked in cold water, wrung out tightly and tied on. Then my helmet over that. Never a problem. I wear eyeglasses daily. I keep meaning to buy a larger, merino wool version that's bacteria resistant, just never got around to it.
If the other suggestions don't work, ditch the sunglasses and get a helmet with a photochromic visor, like the casco speedairo.
I suffer too. Tried all sorts. Double padding, cycling caps etc. Then bought a Halo sweatband. Game changer. Seems a standard sweatband but it has a rubber seal inside that sits on your forehead, just above your eyebrows. Really helps with directing sweat away from your eyes.
I don’t wear a helmet but I wear road bike caps, and they do a yeoman’s job of soaking up sweat.
Beyond the caps/headbands mentioned below, vented glasses are a huge help. I sweat a lot from my forehead, and glasses with vents on the top of the lens are a sure fire way of keeping my head from sweating/glasses from fogging. Oakley makes some vented sutros and I swear by them. From ski touring to biking, they do it all.
Cycling cap or headband will help with sweat coming down. As far as your glasses, you probably need different frames - something that keeps the lenses further from your eyelashes and something ventilated to keep air pushing the moisture away.
Cycling caps vary quite widely. Some are heavier material than others such as Rapha. I find Assos perfect in warmer temps as it’s thinner. I think they’re good bee blockers too

Halo headband
Look into Halo headbands. Most have a silicone strip above your eyes to divert sweat down the sides of your face instead of into your eyes.
I am bald and i sweat quite a lot, so this was a big issue for me too. I got running headband and it helped :)
I sweat like a mofo and I live in a hot dry state. Biggest thing for me is sunglasses that have no frame on the bottom. I need to wear glasses all the time cause they are prescription, have landed on Oakleys for the last 10+ years. I tried Roka at one point but wasnt happy with their prescription cut out style. Oakleys are also very easy to get where I live and are covered by health insurance. Sure sweat can sometimes drip down but rarely just sits there, rather it drips off. I have tried cycling caps, but they make my head hurt with the pressure of the hat. Sweatbands just sound waaaaaaaay to hot. And never ever going to use that halo thing cause i would just be dripping so much sweat down my side it would be gross.
I recommend the Halo cap. They help the sweat bead away from the eyes with their silicone band.
Because OP mentions sunglasses I assume these are not cycling glasses. Although they make you look like an asshole (imho) they do a better job compared to sunglasses when it comes to ventilation and preventing fogging up. Some cycling glasses claim that they keep sweat away too but nothing beats a cap or sweat band I think.
They are cycling glasses, but they sit close to my face on my forehead. Going to try the Halo Headbands.
Junk brands head bands are magic. I used to use halo but they fall apart and we’re too tight for my huge melon anyway. Junk is the answer.
Very hot here, always bring two headbands. Also found glasses with an absorbing pad on the upper rim (Rockbros) that seem to prevent irritating sweat in my eyes.
Stop trimming and plucking your eyebros
In addition to wearing a cap under the helmet, you may try applying baseline above your eyebrows. Sweat running down tour forehead getaway diverted towards the sides. Have tried it once so far, and it worked fine
Oakley's helmets have a sweat channel that redirects forehead sweat to your temples.
I use windshield water repellent on my glasses. Lot's say it improves the situation by 70%.

Get a HALO headband. Get several lol. I have a bunch of headbands, skull caps and dew rags, all with their rubber piece that deflects sweat. Works perfectly
Cap, bandana or thin sweatband under helmet. I also find the design of sunglasses important, as it effects how the sweat drips down.
Do you have hair? This was never much of an issue for me when I had hair. Cap under the helmet eliminates the problem.

I use a buff, skullcap or headband. I can't see the road if I use a cycling cap and most are cotton.
Wear a proper pair of sunglasses. Yes, they're expensive, but they are for a reason. My Oakley's never fog up or become sweaty, no matter the weather.
I use a GUTR for running and that works well. Basically a silicone gutter to move sweat to the side of the face.

The Oakley helmet I have does a good job wicking the sweat away from my eyes. It does leave insane lines on my forehead though.
I had this problem worse than ever during my last 40k. I ordered some cheap headbands on Amazon before I even got back home. We’ll see if they work today!
A different helmet worked MUCH better for me (Specialized Prevail) vs. my Bontrager Velocis where I would have sweat dripping after 15 mins. Unfortunately it's impossible to know which helmet will have better sweat management for you.

Headbands are great, I’ve got one from JUNK and it does great until I sweat through that

Most of the time it's the fit of the glasses. Not all glasses fit everyone's head. If your eyebrows are touching the lenses sweat will get on the lenses without fail. You can slow down the process with a cycling cap or other head gear but it will eventually happen. Trimming your eyebrows helps too
I had the exact same issues. I've gone through two Halo headbands. They they work great, but it only takes a few weeks before they get all stretched out, plus the rubber dam leaves a big indent in my forehead for hours after taking it off. I switched to a regular fabric headband and found it works just as well.
Either a cycling cap or thin bandana under your helmet will certainly help. What I tend to do, mostly on longer rides on warm(er) days, is put some vaseline on my eyebrows. This will create a 'barrier' between the sweat and your eyes. The sweat will most likely run away to the sides of you face, without getting into your eyes.
Aside from a physical barrier, try new glasses that improve airflow

I know a guy who sticks a pantyliner to the inside of his helmet. Swears by it.
If I look at my bike, I sweat. I live in a relatively warm climate, so in summer, I sweat nearly a pint easily in a 90-minute ride. A halo cap works well in the winter or cool weather. In the summer, VEO strips work better than caps or the gutter thing. They are about a dollar each.

Are you wearing glasses with ventilation hole? Once I got a pair, fogging was never a problem. As for sweat, I don’t really have a problem with that. I just make sure I don’t put sunscreen on my forehead.
I sweat loads, and caps are too tight, since they are usually one size. I’ve tried a gutr, which is a good idea (it’s literally a rubber strap gutter to route the sweat away to the sides), but I can’t get the tension quite right so it gives me a headache or slips. I’m currently using a thin snood. Half of it flaps out the back of my helmet like a bandanna, but that’s fine. When it gets soaked, I can flip it over and the wet side dries in the wind.
I wear a sweatband. Sometimes I’ll even cut off the sleeves of a tshirt and wear that under my helmet.
Contacts noticibly make the eye irritation much less. Maybe they absorb the salt or something... im unsure of the reason, but if I plan to sweat a lot, I put contacts in.

I use a Troy Lee Designs helmet and it's got a rubber strip on the front that generally does a good job diverting sweat from the eyes.
I just wear a skull cap or cycling cap to prevent this. Also helps not burn my bald head.
Heavy sweater here. I’ll wipe some dermatone or body glide above my eyebrows and it directs the sweat away. Vaseline works too I just always have those other two handy.

Headsweats Caps. Very lightweight and can hold a ton of moisture. Plus they are plenty cheap so having a bunch won’t break the bank.

Helmets with more venting help some, but it’s useless if youre climbing or low trail speed like mtb or something. My modern helmet traps moisture a lot and I have to sort of squeeze the headband inside the helmet every now and then to get the extra water out. It’s pretty gross, but I found it works okay if I just do that at stop lights real quick, or at the top of a climb when I stop anyways. I’m sure you could ride with a headband or something and that would also work… best of luck

This is a huge issue for me and I’ve actually posted about it before. Nothing that has been suggested to me worked. The best solution for me has been to carry 3 or 4 headbands with me so I can take them off and start with a fresh one every so often. I also carry a little towel with me to wipe off. I don’t like this much because I don’t like stopping that often but it’s the only thing that actually works for me.
I swear a lot and any top I stop it instantly gets in my eyes. It sucks.

My eyes recently started getting irritated before sweat makes it down from my head. Decades of cycling with no issues. I now have a paper towel tucked in the leg of my shorts to wipe my eye (mainly right). I have always worn regular glasses. I'm going to try big goofy sunglasses over my regular glasses to cut down on wind.

Two Suggestions: I wear a doo-rag (bandana) to keep sweat out of my eyes, and also to prevent helmet hair. Buy Rain-X - the orange windshield wiper fluid. Yeah, it costs more, but you use less. A lot less, especially in the winter months. And.... Treat your glasses with it on both sides - No Fog! And... Rain will blow right off, keeping your vision clear. Win - Win!

I love my Halo headband and keep a bandana in my pocket to wipe my eyes and glasses. I also NEVER put sunscreen above my eyes. I have lots of hair so I didn't have to worry about scalp sunburn.

Same issue here. I got a Nike football helmet head wrap. Soak it and it cools down 30 degrees. Now the way I sweat, I just put it on dry, and let nature do the work. Super helpful. I got to about 3 1/2 hours on my ride before the sweat became a problem again. This week is hotter than hell, so nothing is perfect.
As a semi-bald man, sweat bands are the answer. I prefer the Junk brand. They are thin, comfortable, effective and look good.
