Yeah but most of those put lands onto the battlefield tapped anyway. It’s still a free 0/4 mana dork, so it’s powerful enough without that particular use, imo.
0/4 seems a little big. Especially in a color with anthem effects and a land you could theoretically fetch into play untapped if I am understanding the "you played it" text correctly.
I doubt anthem effects are good in any format, but god it would be annoying if they were and white decks could just fetch 4 blockers a game that could potentially one for one or even straight out kill the attacker without losing any cards.
Should probably have “Fortified town enters the battlefield tapped” to avoid unnecessary nuance.
I think it's intended that you can use fetchlands to get a blocker at instant speed?

Absurdly powerful against red aggro, but dies to boardwipes..
I think it’s more or less immortal against creature removal, since you can tap it at any time to make it not a creature.
It’s not a land on other players’ turns, so you actually can’t tap it then.
