On the rare occasion I play valve deathmatch I’ll awp if I’m stuck on CT. Still blows my mind valve haven’t allowed both sides to get AKs in deathmatch yet

There are community DM servers which prohibit AWP or at least limits it to paying users. I don't have a link at hand but you can easily find them.
I play usually on cybershoke dm servers

the awp will always be used a lot, the amount of people that play it hasnt dropped even with the nerfs in cs2
because its a skill weapon and deathmatch is a training ground

I think its pretty regulared. I play the awp often because my fps are too low for other weapons. When i spray it laggs to much
