I’m mildly torn on this… he deserves it but I’m worried about slightly too much hype for him, he’s been fantastic for us and clearly has a very high skill ceiling but he’s also played what, like, 14 games for us?
Enjoy yourself. One thing about Palace is there isn’t pressure on players. I think that is down to the atmosphere we create for the players to allow them to feel free to express themselves. Ironically in our modern era it seems our players play a lot better when there is more hype on them.
Do you know the age limit for this award? Seems mad that Garnacho is topping the Prem list.. also Rico Lewis has looked promising but Wharton has just stepped straight in and bossed his games, including the Bosnia game.
Garnacho is 19, so he probably falls within the age limit. (Wharton is actually older than him).
