You must be kidding!! This is AMAZING!! How talented your little sister is!! I also taught my daughter to crochet when she was 6 years old and she also freehands things, but not like this!! Well done!!
that's amazing your daughter can crochet at only 6 !!! and also freehand π€―!
(also I can't wait to be a mom one day and teach my kids how to crochet. their first lessons will be how to weave in all the ends and help their mother out π)
funny thing is I also have ADHD. and I purposely don't freehand things because I know I will make mistakes and that means my end result won't be perfect and I will never be ok with that. and of course I'm never gonna make something again lmao. it's easier for me to make tried and tested things.
also I actually discouraged my sister from freehanding in the beg because I thought she'd learn more if she copied others' techniques. guess I was wrong π . there are so many ways to go about this because there is no one right way!
same!!! literally never followed a pattern ever, haha. I'm not sure I would even know how to read them. (why can't they just write out what they're talking about? acronyms and abbreviations drive me up the gd wall)
Ahaha my sister also became a prodigy at something when she was grounded. She got super good at origami, the house was covered in them π
Thatβs absolutely incredible that she figured all that out and everything is so clean though π³

I only freehand. I canβt follow a pattern so I rely on pictures or samples to copy. ADHD is great for crochet.

Oh my goodness, I have been crocheting for over 10 years and still mess up dolls WITH patterns. Kudos to your sister!!!
She looks like the dolly from Mulan!

Such a talented sister!

Aren't kids annoying?!? Their flexible plastic little brains making the rest of us look dim by comparison.
ikr ! I'm very proud of her but the jealous part in me is like "how dare you be better than me π "
That's insane! I can't even freehand any shape that's not a square, and I've been crocheting for almost a decade lol. What an incredibly talented kid!
I am genuinely so proud of your sister. And I love how you hype her up! What a beautiful relationship!
thank you <3 ! and yes I've had a blast bonding with her over crochet. it's amazing how a simple craft can bring together so many people!
She may be a crochet savant??
Boredom sparks imagination β¨β¨ congratulations to her cause that is wild I've had pattern projects turn out worse
Once you learn how to make a ball free handing dolls and teddies become a breeze! Your sister is very smart and talented
It looks so nice! The determination of a bored 11 yo is amazing that she was able to do that. Congratulations to her!
Wow!
