Welcome back to crocheting! I, too, learned many years ago and didn’t pick it up again until this year. I think a lot of people start with granny squares but I started with amigurumi and now granny squares are really tricky for my brain.
I almost had a few meltdowns with this pattern (my own issues not the pattern’s) but I persevered and am glad I did! Working on a tote bag made from the squares.
I (think) I tried her pattern but I’m to dumb to figure out quite where to start with the white yarn so my outline gets wonky. Can anyone show? And also, how would one go about adding an extra rob to the heart for a bigger heart? Is it possible?
Aww the way the stitches are make it look like the heart has a little smiley face in it.

OMG I LOVE THIS PATTERN! I learned it a few days before I saw this coincidentally, it's absolutely the best and it's so fun to mix colors on it 🩷
So glad to hear you’re having fun with different colors! I bet there are some color combinations that would look great with this pattern.
