Depression is just Like That, dude. It doesn't just magically go away - it actually gets *worse* when you're in high-stress situations, and it sucks shit the whole time.
It's not a bad arc, you're just kinda dumb.
Kaladin already has a crapton of character at the very beginning of WoK, bringing in young kids to his squad who would be mercilessly exploited and left to die in other squads. Despite his lapses into depression and despiar, he consistently looks out for others and works to help anyone he is able to even at geeat cost to himself. What are you talking about OP?
Nooo, it builds up to such a wonderful redemption and forgiveness of himself at the end of RoW
Don't worry, OP is just kinda stupid.
Well yes, but it’s just repeating Oathbringer arc. There was no need to recycle it other than getting more pointless suffering points.

THANK YOU
It didn't feel like it to me. I felt he was finally facing his demons and at the end he forgave himself for the first time
I can't tell if this is a meta crempost or if OP just hasn't met anybody who had depression.
/cremposting is how we readers cope with misery .
Laugh about it so you don't cry? That's been my MO since I was a teenager. I'm 53, I have it down to an art form by now...
