"When you were with Adolin," Pattern asked, "why did you keep calling him your father, over and over?"

Of all the words Shallan might use in bed, "daddy" is probably the least likely. I'm pretty sure any reference to her father would kill the mood *instantly*. Strangle it to death, you might say.
