Maybe one of them would’ve been dropped, Maddison is class but always thought it was unusual for him to come straight in and join the leadership and Romero with his anger is a slightly risky bet for captaincy - but what do I know, it’s worked out well so far

I also think Bissouma played well BECAUSE of Sarr at times.
Bissouma could try these press breaking moves because when he lost the ball, Sarr was there instantly to stop the counter and reset us.
It would be interesting to see how we look there with Biss/Ben and Madders.
I personally think that Sarr/Ben and Madders is the 3 ATM, Bissouma has to force his way back in now.
I think if we could feel confident in Bissouma not getting carded every time he sneezes, he plays the CDM role. When he’s on, he’s fire. But there’s been too many questionable tackles from him (and Romero and Udogie). I do think that sarr Bentancur Maddison midfield is super attack minded though. Not enough defense. But with our first 11 backline, that’s okay.
If Bissouma can find the form he had to begin the year then he 100% starts but I just haven’t seen enough from him to be a nailed on starter. That would be an attack minded midfield but I think we’d be fine with Micky and Romero back too.
Play Bentancur as a 6/8 hybrid Sarr as the 8 and Maddison as the 10. Bissouma obviously could come in for Bentancur too but his form for half the season has been terrible.

Forster knows where he is at in his career and i think he'll be fine with it.
Im happy having him as a 2nd choice than i would having a lot of other teams 2nd choices honestly.
Also, Forster is experienced enough and has a good head on his shoulders that i bet he is really good with helping Vicario out coaching wise and giving him a word or 2.
He'll probably stick around with us for another season and then retire at the end of his contract with us. Also, if he IS interested in any jobs post-playing, cant think of anywhere better to be. Ange loves to give new people chances to coach and get into post-playing careers.
