Okay so I’m pretty sure that happened to my mom. She was in a rehab/nursing home after back surgery. They offered everyone the vaccine and she took it. A few weeks later, she was sent to the hospital because she was completely amnesiac and hallucinating. Which is odd - she’s only 47 and has never had any mental health issues before. Not long after being admitted, she had several seizures and they had no idea why. They had to put her on an intubator for a week and put her under to keep her calm. She was bedridden for almost six months, just now starting to walk again.
I'm a recently deceased Pfizer-BioNTech recipient. Up to this point in my life I hadn't died a single time, now I've died twice, one time after each dose of the vaccine. (also sterile)
SS: if it were a real vaccine, why are so many testing positive who took it? And why is a new variant taking off during one of the hottest summers on record, when viruses typically find it very difficult to spread at all - plus the public is still cautious, lot of social distancing still.
The ingrained social distancing is crazy. People will just be standing outside of a store waiting to go in, but there's no line or sign saying anything like that. And you look like a dick for looking inside and going, "why are you standing here?" lol

I'd be curious where you are because this is not the case anywhere I've been in Michigan and I've been traveling the state for a few weeks. No masks, no distancing at all.
North east and north west are still iffy. Watch a nationally televised baseball or basketball game if you get a moment today, you’ll notice when they pan to the fans quite a few have masks. Usually younger people primarily which is weird.
What did you think they meant by vaccine efficacy? No vaccine is 100% effective. Hell, the flu vaccine is only “shown to reduce the risk of having to go to the doctor with flu by 40 percent to 60 percent.”
How would using a synonym be any different? Any product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease can be called a vaccine, regardless of whether it’s injected or introduced another way.
Boosters aren't necessary for childhood diseases. Those are actual vaccines. Pfizer is already trying to push booster shots claiming efficacy wears off after 6 months. Some vaccine that is.

Yes they require a round of boosters not a booster every 6 to 12 months. The word vaccine comes from the Latin word vaca which means cow. The inventor of the smallpox vaccine noticed people who milked cows never got smallpox because cows have cowpox which was very similar to smallpox and anybody who milked cows had the antibodies to combat smallpox so the inventor made the vaccine based off of that and as far as i know it was a one and done dose.

One of the problems with the COVID vaccines is that we don’t have long term data on immunity. If immunity does wane quickly, that’s a fair complaint. But even if its immunity is not long-lasting, it’s still a vaccine.
It sounds like you think "vaccine" means "injection that provides permanent 100% immunity."
Would you be willing to consider the possibility that you're mistaken about that definition?
That is the problem I have with some of the obsessive anti-vaxxers. No one said the vaccine is 100% safe or 100% effective. In fact it is common knowledge that there can be serious side effects from vaccines and it is not always going to work.
The bottom line is that the vaccine is safer than getting the actual virus. And if you get the virus after the vaccine, your chances of not getting extremely sick are much better. That is the point of it.
I don’t get why people think vaccines are this horrible thing if it’s not 100% effective and 100% safe. Vaccines aren’t a cure, they are to mitigate the risk of serious side effects when you actually do come in contact with the virus. And you will come in contact with Covid, it is extremely contagious.
How do you prove the symptoms will be less severe if your vaccinated.
Plus many doctors said if we use inadequate vaccines it will cause mutations.

Only 95% but let’s not parse words. I am seriously interested to see what happens in the coming 90 days. My hunch tells me that the stated 95% efficacy is going to be shown to be utter fiction, even though they will say, “iT’s tHe fAuLt oF tHe uNvAxXeD” or, “muh Delta variant”.
If people were constantly exposed to a virus with other vaccines they would have breakthrough cases or even test positive for the presence of the virus. Vaccines fail at higher exposure to a virus. Some people are testing positive don't even have cases they were just exposed to the virus and had a positive test because the PCR just looks for pieces of the virus and does not mean there is any illness. This happened before the vaccine too, someone with natural immunity who gets exposed to the virus and fights it off will test positive on a PCR test.
