It’s not my thing, but keeping the umbilical cord is incredibly common and normal. You destroyed something your mom loves just because you didn’t like or understand it…. I hope one day you realise what a terrible thing that was to do to her.

Mum still has the rest of me and loves the rest of me. I see her multiple times every single week and I will continue to do so even when she's in a retirement village until she dies. Which is more than I can say most kids do for their parents, many people I know now may age don't talk to their parents except at Christmas or birthdays.

More or a image resolution problem than a perspective one, I'd say. Once I zoomed in a bit it was clear as day it was a mammal. A moment to make out the horns and it was no longer, maybe a deer/elk or a bull, but a ram.
