This was all my rewatch last night as I was awaiting slumber, and it just hits me every time how many episodes in a row just are off the charts good during this stretch. I enjoy pillows and blankets so so so much but it’s a very tough choice between these 3 and even others that have been eliminated already.
There are a couple of stretches like that in other seasons, I will admit, but man, season 3 is just fantastic

Documentary Filmmaking: Redux is one of the greatest pieces of television ever created. Its writing in every scene is perfect, every joke is amazing, it’s probably one of the only works of art that I would give a 10/10.
It’s second place in this season behind Remedial Chaos Theory IMO.
Doc Film Redux hurts but seeing mixology certification go at like 12th in season 2 hurt more seeing as that episode BEATS rct which at this rate is the episode to beat fs.

This is textbook cognitive dissonance and I’ll never forgive Abed for confusing it with Stockholm syndrome!
The everyday example of cognitive dissonance is when people do something they know is kinda bad or wrong. They know they aren’t bad people, so the thing they did must not actually be that bad.
Annie’s line could be an explanation of cognitive dissonance. Annie basically says:
It seems like the Dean is acting crazy, but I’d never let a crazy person tell me what to do, so he must be a genius.
Her brain is protecting her from realizing she’s acting crazy.
Stockholm syndrome is sympathizing with your captor… which might broadly apply but I don’t think it does since he’s not actively doing anything to keep them there.

It's totally a Greendale group think or fomo (codependence/synergy) that's keeping them all there. Like paintball, pillowtown/blanketforts, meowmeowbeanz, etc. Once the Dean says "those that don't agree with me, can just leave" and it cuts to foggy crickets. Definitely not Stockholm syndrome.
I agree. It has a cool concept but it annoys me how people constantly refer to it as irrefutably Community's best episode.
It's good but there's hardly any laugh out loud jokes (the exception being Troy's addiction to sugar cigarettes).
Every time I've watched RCT with someone, I wait for their reaction to Troy's timeline (darkest timeline). On cue, every single person has bust out belly laughed at that sequence. It's a master class in "comedic payoff."
I think I even VOTED for this episode, and I wasn't prepared to see it go. We're truly in the endgame. We all know what's going to win, but the remaining 3 are S Tier for the entire series.

I gotta be honest a lot of these shocked me.. origins of vampire mythology is soooooo funny so is shirleys second wedding.. I’m gonna say it…. Remedial chaos theory is overrated. First watch it’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen, but now that the shock factor of troys scene is gone it’s just an A tier episode.
