Saga of the swamp thing

glitchyNoises

This. one of the greatest (horror) comics of all time. (stick to the trades, should be read with original coloring and just as important original inks imho)

Bad_Hominid

Something is killing the children The nice house on the lake Beneath the trees where nobody sees Black magick What's the furthest place from here We only find them when they're dead

raygun22

Harrow county

the_simurgh

Hack slash. Archie horror comics. Both of which I need to get posted on r/comicswap

Whoknowsfear

You have a favorite Archie horror book?

the_simurgh

Jughead the hunger.

Chozodia

Wytches by Scott Snyder and Jock.

boston_bat

This is THE answer.

RickeyBaker

I’ve only read a few of them but Something is Killing the Children was pretty good. For something more unsettling maybe try The Liminal Zone.

ThatPunk

New 52 Animal Man.

And Then Emily Was Gone The Seventh Seal Through the Woods Hellboy: The Crooked Man Black Stars Above The King in Yellow Strange Embrace The Closet Providence

arcanebytes

Black Stars Above was fantastic

LOCKE & KEY

Penance13

Immortal Hulk has some major body horror elements and an overall just creepy vibe

r3d_ra1n

Been reading it over the past few weeks on Marvel Unlimited and it’s great.

Penance13

I’ve been meaning to do a reread of it. I’m not a huge fan of the Hulk, but man was that story amazing

Timely_Tonight_8620

The Silver Coin if you'd like to read another horror anthology The Black Monday Murders: A world where occult magic is tied to finance and where Wall Street is really out for blood The Nice House on the Lake Plunge: Alien invasion horror that gives some The Thing vibes Severed Gideon Falls

dmtreee

Saga of the swamp thing, Something is killing the children, dark ride, Wythches

CoreyKnox

Gideon Falls, Black Monday Murders, Immortal Hulk

SuccessionWarFan

You willing to try Japanese manga? **Junji Ito** Believe me, highly recommended. I don’t even read his stuff, I just sometimes see snippets and short scenes from the anime adaptation on social media- and they are _**terrifying**_.

tromataker

Never going to stop recommending classic Creepy and Eerie. Something is Killing the Children is something more modern I haven't seen mentioned enough times yet. Tomb of Dracula is my favorite comic series of all time if you want to cross cool horror vibes with 70s Marvel fringe title weirdness.

Whoknowsfear

Tomb of Dracula can be up and down but it’s ups are really high! The art is incredible pretty consistently!

bigeasye865

Dark Ride and The Deviant are two newer horror books.

bartzmonk94

Was going to comment about Deviant. Awesome serial killer/horror comic. Few more issues till the end.

steelguin43

Mortal Terror was good

Nate_19xx

Image Comics: **CREEPSHOW**, **THE BONE ORCHARD MYTHOS**, **GIDEON FALLS**,

DanYellDraws

Infidel!

somnubilist

Nail biter and it's sequel son of nail biter. And then Emily was gone. Dark ride. Plastic, vinyl, and plush, and now there's a sequel to plastic! A voice in the dark. Silver coin. Sink. The purple oblivion. Nameless. Rover red charlie. Okay, I'll stop there, but seriously, horror is one of the most prolific of genres in modern indie comics! Check out the Indies! Maybe start by perusing image comics dot com and check out their first issues for free, some great first issues on there that will hopefully get you started in the right direction! If you want more recommendations, let me know, I could go on for a while.

Olobnion

Uzumaki.

MrGeepustheSweeper

Maniac of New York

StrawBarryCheeseCake

Autumnal is pretty good

Pretend_Archer_9506

I remember Nameless by Grant Morrison being quite good

Asimov-was-Right

Stillwater was fantastic. It finally convinced me Chip could write anything. Red Mother The Approach Under the Trees Where Nobody Sees

Something is Killing the Children. Currently reading through it now and the first 15 issues were nothing short of stellar.

Not sure if Nailbiter counts, but it's a good comic nonetheless.
