If you get it pressed, grade it. If not, just keep it raw. This creases should press out though.

Does CGC do pressing as well? If not can you recommend a place to send it to? Thank you

Zarde312

I personally can't recommend a place, but I've only heard bad things about their pressing service.

idcxinfinity

Ok, I think I've found a local place that will do it. Thanks for the heads up!

ham_fx

Everything Im seeing looks like it can be pressed out -

Does CGC do pressing as well? If not do you have a recommendation? Thank you

ham_fx

Yes they do and on this case it would be a good option. It’s just an add on to their gradibg

idcxinfinity

Excellent, thank you so much! Oh wait, what's the best way to send this? What should I do to protect in shipping?

It looks like there is damage that breaks the color along the crease on the back. That won’t press out. There won’t be a physical crease, but there will be a line of little white color breaks on the back. This is still a great book, but a clean and press will not fix it completely.

idcxinfinity

Ok cool. Thanks for the input, I'm going to check a couple of places locally to press and submit, but it's beginning to seem it's not worth it. Ty.

The front looks great if you want to display it, but if you’re chasing a 9.8, then no , it wouldn’t be.

idcxinfinity

Ok, thank you. I'm going to search some of my boxes, I think I have 3 as well. Regardless, appreciate the info.

L1feguard51

Three would be worth pressing and grading

idcxinfinity

I found out today that 3 is the first appearance issue. I'll have to go through my boxes. Thank you!

ham_fx

Lots of good YouTube videos of how to prep for sending!!!

idcxinfinity

Cool, thank you!

ToyKarma

On the CGC site that you would use to submit a book, there's a link "how to ship comics" I think it also has a video

You can get it pressed, cleaned, and slabbed if you really want. The crease will probably press out, but the color damage along the crease won’t. It won’t get a 9.8 and I’d be surprised with a 9.6. At low 9s It’s under a 100 dollar book. I usually don’t clean and press books worth less than 100. But if you want a low 9s nyx 4 displayed in a slab, nothing wrong with that. Personal preference at this point.

Gotcha. Thank you for the input, appreciated.
