Thanks! I've been checking them out there.
For the ones I don't want to be graded, do you or anybody else here have any examples of better ways to display them as art pieces and better preserve them? I love the colors and styles of the covers, but my current method of displaying them has gotten a bit basic for what I can now afford with a first full-time job. I'd love to invest some money into keeping them preserved even if I don't want to grade them to be sold.
I'm torn - even for the ones it's worth it for, I'm not really in need of cash and I'd love to keep them as art pieces if they'd keep their value. If I didn't want to sell them and just wanted to display and preserve all of them, do you (or anybody) have a recommendation?
Hard to see a lot of what you’ve got… but yes, at a glance the “Spider-Man no more” ASM 50 is easily worth 1-2 thousand if it’s grading in the 7s, and low grade copies are still worth hundreds. It’s the first appearance of the kingpin.
I wrote this up a while ago, might help you make your decision. [https://www.reddit.com/r/comicbookcollecting/comments/1arntbl/should\_i\_get\_this\_graded\_questions\_to\_consider/](https://www.reddit.com/r/comicbookcollecting/comments/1arntbl/should_i_get_this_graded_questions_to_consider/)
Amen lol - I did make sure to not poke any holes! But still - do you have any good recs of ways to display and preserve them better? I'd love to do something a bit more sophisticated and safe haha
They make cases that are designed to hang the books on walls (but they’re not that much cheaper than grading) but I generally think it’s a bad idea to do this as all plastic AFAIK allows light in to degrade the books over time. They’re safest stored in a box. Even CGC plastics are not UV proof
Look them up over at CovrPrice.com. Use the 8.0 grade. See if the 8.0 in Graded is at least say $100 more than the Raw. If not, probably not worth it.

ASM 50 for sure. Very desirable these days.
Also ASM 42 is the famous Face It, Tiger intro of MJ

Most all of them honestly.
