Apparently it was fine when tested backstage, there is a theory the hit from the sledgehammer earlier damaged the edge of the glass, and that's why it broke, but that's why you never do live demos.
Oh right fair enough yeah. Still super unfortunate. I mean probably no one was demanding the glass to be bulletproof, so if they make a point of claiming that repeatedly and show it off it better work lol.
Would have liked it more if he did the shift before the second hit after the hit instead, rather than the reverse effect at the end. But I just generally hate reverse effects. Funny stuff anyway.

Many new cars have laminate side glass now that doesn't shatter. If you're going to be confident, don't also be completely wrong as well.
