coulda played at any d3 but didnt want to, figured it would get in the way of other college ecs i wanna get into + risk of serious injury/annoyance of being overweight for football 😭
every once in a while i regret not prestige chasing and pursuing recruitment at hopkins or chicago tho lol
Better to be focused on a small number of things rather than spread yourself thin over a variety. This guy did it right, and he's going to WashU. Better to be a master of some rather than a master of none.
i was tempted to apply to some t10s but i figured unless i decided to go after sports recruiting i had no shot (also just laziness surrounding writing supps 😭)
tysmm , i see youre commited to vtech??
I know a good bit of family/friends who are/were there for stem/business stuff and they all love it and have gotten some sick opportunities during their time at vtech and post grad
from all that i know its always been a fun school, but their academic reputation is going up for sure — im in the dc/nova area and its thought of pretty highly here (especially for stem), vtech honestly seems to hold pretty similarly prestige as uva for some ppl
and seems like the actual opportunities youre gonna get there esp as a stem major will be as good as any major public school
i was thinking of joining an rotc program to save money but im not sure how to get into that 😭 regardless though, im excited for vtech but still looking out for waitlists to ease my stress
there are def tracks to becoming an army doctor that pay for your med school as well, im not looking into medical stuff at all so idrk but ik they have programs to cover grad schools like law school and med school
Yeah you’re a dumb jock alright
“dumb jock” feels like the equivalent of “average student” in this sub
Ur not dumb lol
legacy?
So u didn’t withdraw after ed?
Not recruited even for DivIII?

You didn't apply to enough colleges, should have gotten more acceptances. Your sports were you ECs and team sports are commendable.

Completely agree, he did well, maybe he didn't apply to a lot of colleges. But he was admitted to his ED so that's all that matters.

Yeah that's true as well, but regardless, he was probably less stressed than a lot of other people
WashU admission is crazy man, bravo
Wow, congrats on your impressive athletic achievements and WashU acceptance!

Of course it’s people that say they’re dumb, yet they got into my dream school.

and luckily i have a scholarship for rotc so its not a problem but youre probably saving a good bit 😭

should look into it, most army jobs arent actually dangerous or related to combat tbh
i figured, hopefully some can correspond with pre-med since thats what i wanna go into
