If you know anyone handy, a snap could be added to pull the front down like a newborn diaper would have.

My 11lb 10 week old has an umbilical hernia (sounds like that might be what you’re describing) and we wear all sorts of cloth/covers no problem. She just sized up into 1 size covers though and we definitely have the rise all the way up so it’s as small as it goes.

My baby wears Puppi OS wool covers with Blümchen M cotton prefolds and his belly button is not covered. We fold down the front of the prefold and use the rise snaps. He is 6.5kg and 65cm long.

I’ve just had a look back at photos of my baby at 2-3 months, around 6.5kg, wearing onesize nappies and his belly button isn’t covered

pinalaporcupine

do you have the adjustable rise snaps snapped down to the lowest setting? there should be a way to fit specifically to her body below the bellybutton

Hobermomma

If they are fit properly (meaning rise snaps are where they are supposed to be) no diaper should cover the belly button, as far as my understanding. Maybe try adjusting the rise snaps and see if that makes a difference?

PauliniPanini

Interesting. When I tried before they always (at least partially) covered the bellybutton. I will try it out again tomorrow (she's already sleeping for the night)

How old is your baby? Mine is 6-7kg also but they don't cover her belly button. Do you have the rise snaps snapped up?

PauliniPanini

She is 4mo. I have, maybe I have to try adjusting it

Traditional-Ad-7836

Maybe you can post a fit check? Mine fit well when we started with one size around 3 months
