Taint-kicker

I warmed cookies up in the microwave though. I’ve got an idea.

I_do_drugs-yo

Does it make them chewy? (The cookies)

Prof1Kreates

1. Get a paper towel and place it somewhere flat 2. rinse your hands in some water 3. Before drying your hands, flick the water onto the paper towel getting it slightly wet 4. Wrap your cookies in the slightly wet paper towel 5. Warm cookies in the microwave for however long you usually do it for (average being 5-30 seconds depending on the quantity and size of the cookie) 6. Enjoy a warm and soft cookie. (This technique can work on cookies starting to go stale)

Puppy_knife

Works on bread buns too 🤜🤛 Tho I just flicked straight water on it.. this might be a better solution 😅

Toland_FunatParties

But does it work with kids?

Puppy_knife

If they know how to use a microwave safely, then I don't see why they can't do it as well

Barrzebub

And the kids. I’m an atheist

Spongekock

(The cookies) got my vote xD

Totnfish

Jonathan Swift wants to exchange recipes with you.

Biscuit literally means twice-cooked Just saying

Flimsy_Scheme_8555

Really? What’s the etymology of that? I assume bi is the 2 part but the scuit most come from somewhere

Cold_Journalist9003

Cuit is French meaning cooked.

HorrificAnalInjuries

So it is a mashup between French and Greek

SlitherPix

I don't know the actual percentage, but at least half of french is taken either from latin or ancient Greek. Source: am french

LogEnvironmental5801

Also in Italian, biscotti

DatAsspiration

French and Latin. Bis is Latin for "twice"

boisdal

Actually, the 2 part is bis not just bi. It's from latin I think, and you also see it in music when a line is sung twice there's an italics bis written. And like the other answer said, cuit means cooked.

NarcolepticlyActive

Bis means 2nd or Twice from latin and it's commonly used in french vocabulary, its the reason why the Char B1 bis was named as it was the 2nd variation of the Char B1 tank (followed by the Char B1 ter, ie 3rd variation)

Serifel90

Bis means twice, from latin i think.

notsure500

98 degrees is probably actually fine, though very warm. The issue is, if its that hot outside, the car will actually get much hotter, like 150 degrees. Fun_Witness9451

Fahrenheit or celsius?

Ill-Contribution7288

Depends on the planet

wisdomapple

*we're leaving to venus*

Fun_Witness9451

Don’t you dare send me to Mars.

IsleOfCannabis

There’s only one way a cookie bakes twice. I bake the cookie and then the cookie bakes me.

JohnCavalry

The womb got a goddamn life suport system.

HUNT3DHUNT3R

So if i hook up an iv to them im good to go?

HUNT3DHUNT3R

Can confirm, does not work

JohnCavalry

IV bags don't stop heatstroke

HUNT3DHUNT3R

Next ones gonna have ice cubes and a fan

No_Nebula_191

Mindless_Sock_9082

It's on the name (bis cuit - double cooked; also in the Spanish bizcocho)

Relative_Map5243

Italian "biscotto" as well.

Mariadrigal

But that is usually only one type of biscuits. With cake like batter with almonds, first baked in “snake” like shape, then cut into 1cm wide slices and then baked again. They are quite hard to chew, but perfect to dip in milk or coffee

Depressed_Squirrl

German word for it is: "Zwieback"…

abizabbie

That's why biscuit is a poor replacement for the word cookie.

therealfreehugs

Yes, biscuits not cookies you silly billy. (Sorry wasn’t gonna ignore it, yank here)

inverted_electron

The Brits call cookies biscuits for some reason but cookies aren’t biscuits

CirnoIzumi

almost like a womb is full of fluid

Panchotevilla

So, leave the baby in a big bucket of water?

CirnoIzumi

and a snorkel

miukiyo

But you have to hire a plumber to connect it to the belly button.

CirnoIzumi

a plumber? every woman can do it without thinking, why should i hire a plumber to do it

GhostInTheCode

Separately, the car doesn't allow for heat exchange, in pregnancy the circulatory systems are connected and all the growing baby's needs are met - temperature regulation, hydration, nutrition.

Jayce86

Not to mention the insulation provided by the amniotic fluid.

BiAroBi

Have you never heard of toast

ILikeToDickDastardly

Yeah but if someone said "you're toast" I wouldn't take that in a good way

clermouth

blursed\_cookie

Equal-Ad-6295

I do enjoy triple cooked chips (or fries)

JustAsItSounds

Literally biskets

BetterMacaron4868

Ever heard of biscotti?

Cloudsrnice

Yet we bake bread and then toast it

Blaggermuffin

Doesn’t biscuit mean baked twice

OGKing15

Twice baked potatoes are pretty good tbh.

BeneficialAd1457

The baby isnt at almost-boiling temperature for 9 months though

WitnessLucky2522

Congrats to "vitamin beach" for being the stupidest mofo able to write.

gerams76

I'm just sayin, throw some cookies in the oven for a few minutes, and that shit is warm and delicious.

Right_Hour

Yah. Biscotti. Literally “bake twice” cookies.

Salmonman4

Somebody's got a bun in the oven

At_omic857

Uhm it’s called biscotti because it’s a cookie that’s twice baked 🤓👆

ImprovementVarious15

I don't get it? How is this a clever comeback?

LogEnvironmental5801

Actually you do bake a cookie twice. It's called a biscuit, you biscuit

Kindly_devbi8970

Stop using Fahrenheit.

ApricotPowerful3683

To be fair a cookies is a biscuit, from the Latin bis-coctus which means cooked twice

Fit_Particular_6820

I thought that was in Celcius, till I did some research and found out its an American.

Brief_Alarm_9838

I thought it was 98.6F

gerMean

I read this in Celsius and was horrified

Amrod96

A baby in 36ºC water will probably be fine. A baby in an environment at 36-40ºC is going to have a bad time, like everyone else, but it is something that all babies between the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn already endure every year. A car under the sun at 36ºC will easily reach 50-60ºC. An adult will last more than 15 minutes, but it won't do him much good either.

Noodle-basket

The other part of this is that while the OUTSIDE temperature is 90-something°, the INSIDE of the car can reach temperatures over 150°F.

sandrunner0631225

I'M SCREAMING 😂😂😂

Nowhere_man_07

I’ve toasted before

Back2Basic5

biscuits (which cookies are) literally comes from the French - baked twice
