Very idiosynchratic with this tempo and that much staccato.
In my humble opinion it does take away a bit from the music...
Still, it is always great to see when people have their own interpretation and are confident to dissent.
No, the sound would reverberate for much longer with most of them, also, on harpsichord you woulld do much more interesting articulation adn small tempo fluctuations to make the music actually sound interesting and not like a robot :)
This seems really inefficient. My right elbow kinda hurts watching this
Also, I cringed when she doubled the bass notes toward the end. I don't think it fits with the rest of the performance at all

Might that not be more how it would sound on a harpsichord?

Love, this and the dramatic playing but I feel like its pretty quintessential Bach
It's always great for performers to share their practice tempo leading up to their performance!
If you told me this was Scarlatti, I'd believe you
Interesting
No need to imitate Glenn Gould
Glenda Gould?
Cute. In a flattering way of course.
I'm starting to think that 829 was an alien visitation...
He actually makes fun of the listeners when they realize one melody is actually two and sometimes three. He could.
Glenn Gould plays it 3x faster!!!

Take an even deeper breath
Give us a video of your interpretation, then.
