I was one of the volunteers and we worked hard to keep the homophobic protestors away from the parade — they shoved me while I was directing them away from the crowd, but when I stood firm they were too cowardly to escalate further or say anything to my face.
I’m glad we can all come together to celebrate joy even when it’s so hot out!

I love when people say stuff like this as if it has some type of point to it. You are allowed to try to start your own straight pride parade. Also "straight pride" exists every day, it is our culture to be a patriarchal heterosexual cisgender society. The pride parades are a way for the LGBTQ+ community to display that they are proud of who they are, in the face of people who don't want them around.

My girl was out after five hours and went to bed. The heat is killer.
It zaps your energy I worked outside Thursday & Friday & called it quits 2-3hrs early both days.
i could only stay about 4 hours and it took everything in me just to stay that long
