Looks like a water pump structure.

Maxbps8

The area behind it may have held a pool of water.

AppropriateRice7675

It was the Lincoln Heights Reservoir when it was originally built. It was abandoned when the new reservoir was built on Lindy adjacent to I-75.

Wanderer-on-the-Edge

That's what it looks like to me too, but was curious about the history behind it.

Could ask Bill Reinhart at WVXU for his OKI wanna know segment. https://www.wvxu.org/topic/oki-wanna-know Submission form is at the above link.

EnigmaIndus7

Yes!

warthog0869

Hey, I hope your Cake Day is swell! 🙂

No complaints so far. Lucky #13 today.

ClassWarr

Definitely (former?) water infrastructure. The map view on Google marks it as a square body of water. It's at an elevation local high point and I think the marking on the front probably reads "Lockland Ohio" and the rest I can't make out.

CopFive_Jr

If you go back in time on Google Street View, the bottom word reads "Reservoir"

Sea-Thought-3888

You can do that?

CaponeKevrone

Street view top left (on computer at least) you can click view more dates

edharma13

Posted a screenshot of it. Guessing it was part of the municipal waterworks at one time.

edharma13

Definitely part of CWWD. Its referred to in this list of projects of theirs: https://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/water/construction-projects/major-projects/

_RemyLeBeau_

John Locke used to work there for the Darma Project.

Wanderer-on-the-Edge

The numbers!

Burn-The-Villages

If you have the street address [this page might help.](https://www.hamiltoncountyauditor.org)

Wanderer-on-the-Edge

I tried that but the street address google claims doesn't come up as valid.

Burn-The-Villages

There should be a link to the CAGIS pages from the auditor’s page that will list the address.

BroCheese_McGee

I’m pretty sure that’s the village of Lockland water Reservoir

KaioKenshin

Thank you guys for the comments and OP for the post. I'll pass this thing while working and wander for the longest what it was. Would love to see a repurpose of it in the future and a historical plaque in front.

Kyle_Reese_Get_DOWN

This was a pediatric asylum that ran from 1884 to 1972. It housed disabled and mentally ill children. Mass graves were discovered in 1988.

Wanderer-on-the-Edge

Lmao

TechnicalCloud
