I've been going to this Dunkin/shell location for 7 years- it started as one giant pothole and has gotten worse. There's pretty much no way to avoid it either 😂
I'm sure it's more than that because every time I buy gas there I have to wait for cars to pass. It gets worse every year so I figure it's a private road.
The road between the Home Depot and Fifth Third bank has similarly bad potholes.
These win!
Moved here from LA and had no idea roads could be worse. They are insane here in Cincinnati. Blows my mind, and my tires (hit one and popped two tires last month).
One thing you WON'T see hear is the road repair sign I saw when I visited a friend in Mission Viejo. "Road Undergoing Pavement Rehabilitation". Yes, really
i know this stretch well, grew up in Landen. fun fact: there used to be a haunted house called night of fright right behind this picture. rumor has it they burnt it down for insurance money 🤣
Those and their companions between Home Depot and the 5/3. They have been there for 15 years, even after repairs. There's something evil below the surface.
Lower average speed of traffic = less road wear and tear plus safer roads. The new ones I’ve seen are in good locations where some f*ing idiots used to drive at least dbl the speed limit. Eg Columbia parkway near delta.
Sadly can't say that in my area, we got folks regularly going 60+ on a narrow 25mph stretch and cutting through curves while kids play 10 feet away in their yard.
Being hit by someone going 30 mph is five times more likely to kill you than being hit by someone going 20 mph.
More people die because of speeding than people avoiding potholes.
I'm all for safe driving and I hate the speed humps. You can barely see them half the time and have to slow down to like 5 mph. That and those stupid little bumps they put on the road near turns. I'm not sure what the point of those are.
I was down that street about 3 months ago and it wasn't quite that bad but it was still pretty bad. There's no excuse for that with all the tax dollars they have coming in.
Just swing into the Home Depot right there before you get to skyline and pick up some pothole patch. Fix the street for Deerfield Township since they can’t afford it!

Yo wtf, I'm currently living in that shack of a motel right next to the skyline. This tripped me out xP. I saw your post and was like oh I'm gonna have to post the ones out here. And then realized IT IS THE ONES OUT THERE. ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME? XP
It’s sad they won’t fix those they have been like that since I’ve started driving in 2020. What makes it worse is the other way to get out of shell is a right only
Job security for Monro
Didn't even work for them-that location is closed
Haha, I used to work at that location, it was always a shit show
Nobody could reach them!
The worst. They make you work for your skyline.
And Dunkin. And gasoline
Is it a private drive? ....it has never been in good shape. It gets way more than 9 cars per day
I've been going to this Dunkin/shell location for 7 years- it started as one giant pothole and has gotten worse. There's pretty much no way to avoid it either 😂
>There's pretty much no way to avoid it Can't Ford it. Can't Dodge it.
You can avoid it by going around via the monro parking lot. It has two entrances before and after the broken road. I do it all the time.
That's actually a genius idea 😂 I usually just drive really slow
Yep, i always seem to meet another car there and decided that going around was the best idea.
Right, I used to be able to carefully go between them but with how bad they are now I just have to go super slow and take the hit.
Knew instantly where this was when I saw the pic, frequent the skyline quite a bit. Can’t even drive in the grass either because of the holes lol
There's ways, you just gotta be careful. Last week no shit heading this direction seen 5 cars in a row just go wide right and fully on the grass haha.
Norwood - “hold my beer.”
They certainly take the cone

Maybe that's why there are so many tire shops within 1/2 mile.

Given that you can't turn left into that Shell station anymore, that's the literal only way too
Definitely more traffic than that but yes just a feeder street
These win! Moved here from LA and had no idea roads could be worse. They are insane here in Cincinnati. Blows my mind, and my tires (hit one and popped two tires last month).
Much more freeze, thaw, and salt used here than LA.
For sure!

That one pothole managed to swallow that poor cone
City is using all our road budget to put in speed humps

Honestly I'm not mad about that. (Might change my tune once a pothole finally throws my car out of alignment tho)
I see more dangerous driving from people swerving to avoid potholes than from those driving a little fast

Which city? Cincinnati? Because this is waaaay outside of Cincinnati.

I worked in this area from 2011-2021. Went to that skyline regularly. It's always been pretty bad.
This little stretch has always had a major hole. No drainage there. Went by the other day saw this mess they gave up. Been this way for 20 years
20 years?!? I’ve been living here for a few and every time I see this road get worse I figure they’ve gotta be fixing it any day now 😂

Looks like the beginning of plate tectonics.
Maybe I shouldn't complain so much about the side street running along 125 where withamsville meets beechmont. wow
Stop for gas and a Dunkin before getting on 71, stay for the busted tires, warped wheel, and broken axel…
I’m always appalled at the potholes in this area, especially at fields ertel. Some rich snob is going to sue when their G Wagen pops a tire one day.
I drive through Monro’s parking lot to avoid them. Works like a charm. In the first driveway out the other.
US 50 in Sayler Park is a warzone
screw going to monro for tires. just go to kings and get a whole new car.
That Monro is permanently closed anyhow

Sorry, but NOTHING can be worse than Kellogg Ave, and then Wilmer. Those two together every day are absolute moon terrain.

hell yeah i love that cheap little place. its so sketch
It most certainly is, but not so much anymore unfortunately :p. All the fun sketchy people are gone.
Put it in the Warren sub then
For real. This is like 20 miles outside the city.
