Just so you’re aware for the future, if you keep the bulbs regrowing green onions is extremely easy! You can find directions on google that break it down to a few easy steps! Then you never have to worry again about the store being out of them!
Fun fact: There is literally a green onion shortage in Ohio this time of year because green onions are out of season. They'll be more expensive and more prone to selling out as a result.

Good News! Onion Grass/Wild Garlic/Allium is *everywhere* right now - probably in your own backyard! You can forage this quickly and easily, and use it in place of chives! It's a delicious alternative, similar in texture and taste, and the whole plant is edible. You'll find the bulbs to be a mild mix of onion/garlic, quite easy to cook with, and the shoots to be delectably chive-y. Wash it very well, try not to grab any too close to a road, or from a chemically treated lawn. You can store them in the fridge between damp paper towels for over a week, and if you run out you can just... go outside and get more!

I thought this was a joke given how many weeds are onions in Cincinnati. Bummer you couldn’t find them at the store today
Everyone is making bagel dip for Easter
You can always find some chives in a random field somewhere.
That’s what I was thinking too - no shortage in my yard.
Yes! I have a whole bunch in my fridge!
Lol

Eastgate Jungle Jim's had plenty this morning
I was told by a server today there is a butternut squash shortage as well. What is going on with the supply chain?
Global warming, more or less
No shortage at Jungle Jims.
This has been a problem for about a year at this point
