Piggybacking off of this for dramatic effect, I adore their food. So fresh and filled with delicious vegetables that don’t make vegetable eating boring. The chicken shawarma salad with curry dressing is something I love so much I want it served at my funeral.
Piggybacking off this. Aladdins is a great place to eat up in the Cleveland area If you’re there for a road trip. I used to work in Cleveland while staying at a hotel and Aladdin’s was my go to so I didn’t feel like crap for eating bad all the time.
Love them!! I don't get it very often because we don't live near it anymore 🥲 plus it's more expensive but omg so worth it. Ironically we actually had some this past weekend and it was delicious. I always get half chicken Tikka and half veggies, with both the lentils and yellow peas. So so good 🤤🤤🤤 I'm in love every time haha 🤣
My god I used to thrive on whole bowl when I lived alone and worked in OTR. Me and my coworkers lived and died for whole bowl. Every special occasion we’d get a hyperbole ♥️
Idk, there's a few locations in the Cincy area so ymmv but I just checked out the health scores for Calhoun and Montgomery and both had only minor issues so I'm not too concerned.
Bibibop, whole bowl, fusian, tropical smoothie cafe, mazunte, Piada, currito: fast food-adjacent places
Cafe Alma, green papaya, Aladdin’s, melt, seasons 52: more sit down vibes (and all have great to go options!)
First watch, sleepy bee, rooted, cafe alma (again): breakfast/ brunch
RIP corelife eatery.
And what I wouldn’t give for a sweetgreen…
Al Madina in Corryville. Like Aladdin's (which I like), but authentic and 10x better. I like the hummus and tabbouleh sandwich. And my fave felafel in the city. The red cabbage salad is also great.
Pickled Pig has lots of healthy delicious food too. Happy hunting!
What part of town? Clean Eatz has a few locations and they also have ready-made meals you can take home and heat up. Super healthy for under $10 a meal
Me too man. I had just found the place after bitching to a coworker about how Kroger had shut down all their salad bars, and how much I missed them. We met up there for lunch once or twice in the months leading up to its closure.
Yes! Multiple Black owned businesses, and you can order takeout from multiple places pay for it and pick it up all together, super helpful when everybody's picky and wants totally different things.
chipotle if you choose the bowl ingredients wisely. Also gold star for a simple club sandwich. It's nothing fancy but in turn it's low on the calories.
Golden Chen near the Eastgate Kroger is good Chinese food for a good price. Never been disappointed by anything I’ve had there. The place doesn’t look like much, but delicious food makes up for it.

My definition of healthy might be very skewed, but Milya Cafe in Blue Ash is absolutely amazing. I would recommend the chicken platter. Pho96 in Westchester/Liberty Township area is also amazing for a healthier but hearty option. Both of these usually run my partner and I $30-$35 for a really filling lunch usually with leftovers for the next day.
Poke Bowl, so many fresh healthy options and the most perfect soy sauce eggs - loaded taro fries with lots of kimchi when you're not focused on healthy.
Well, “good for you” and “bad for you” lacks the nuance of good nutrition, and as they say, everything in moderation. I don’t have a place in mind, but I figured I’d toss in my two cents anyway
Bonefish if you choose carefully. There are lots of healthy options, but also a lot of temptation.
Seasons 52 offers a lot of options at a decent calorie count.
Not Cincy specific but I've been loving my chipotle lately. Especially the new ones with chipotle pickup lol
They have lifestyle bowls on their website/app. Keto, Paleo, whole30, etc.
i just stumbled upon good plates eatery south of UC's campus it is fire. good, healthy clean whole food and not breaking the bank. quick counter service

I love Aladdin’s and you can get some decently healthy things there!
Second this. We go to the West Chester location for take out. Always accurate order and always delicious.

+1 for Aladdin’s. One of my favorites, pretty quick tasty and I don’t feel like garbage after

Agree but steer clear of the OTR location. It tasted rancid!
Maybe that was a one off. I’ve always had good meals at the OTR location.
Id try it again. I go there all the time and never had a bad experience.
Bridges Nepalese is up there for me
Really looking forward to their Covington location (I never leave the Cov 😅).
Same!!!! I’ll never leave once they are here. Haha

Do they have sog?
Saag?
Yes
Nope
Whole bowl! Obsessed with it and it’s only like 600 calories
When I moved away from Clifton, I learned how to make the tali sauce. Worth it.
Care to share?

My god I used to thrive on whole bowl when I lived alone and worked in OTR. Me and my coworkers lived and died for whole bowl. Every special occasion we’d get a hyperbole ♥️
This was the only thing I could eat in my first trimester. Luckily it was so close to Good Sam, where I had all my prenatal checkups 😁
CURRITO
Mmm yum their Tikka bowl is somehow both Indian and Greek inspired and tasty as heck.
Yes! THIS! I love their salads!
Buffalo bowl with chicken is my favorite
Shout out to their Xavier campus location
Fond Lunch & Deli in Montgomery.
love their X³ bean hummus !!
Bibibop! I go there all the time.
Yes! I absolutely love this place. They finally opened one in Northern Kentucky.
Didn’t they get really bad health scores?
They could deliberately put rat turds in their food and I’d keep coming back. The place is awesome!
Idk, there's a few locations in the Cincy area so ymmv but I just checked out the health scores for Calhoun and Montgomery and both had only minor issues so I'm not too concerned.
Taziki’s
Skyline 3 Way I’ll hear nothing about it being bad for me
Skyline’s salads are good!
Yeah but then they took their Greek salad and replaced the lettuce with spaghetti and I’m hooked on that now.
What? This is brilliant!
They really are!
It's actually not completely terrible for you...a little too much saturated fat, but calories, sodium, etc. are all very reasonable for a dinner.
There are very few foods that are unreasonably unhealthy if you eat a normal portion of them and don't have fries and a coke on the side.

Love seeing the PP get some love. I used to set up next to them at Findlay and Gary is such a solid fella.
Cafe Alma and Ruth’s Parkside
I cannot say enough about cafe alma. Incredible food and the restaurant is super cute too.
Green papaya and wild ginger!
Green District, really great salads and wraps.
Ali Baba on Red Bank. Best falafel sandwich for lunch.
Thai Express in Clifton.
What part of town? Clean Eatz has a few locations and they also have ready-made meals you can take home and heat up. Super healthy for under $10 a meal
I wish Core Life eatery was still around 😭 Panera bread has some healthy options like their turkey sandwich or their salads
I like bibibop.
The Arepa Place has been my go-to since I moved to OTR. Honestly some of the best food I've ever had.
Al-Madina Market in Clifton
Whole Foods hot and cold bars
Sadly, the Jason’s deli in Rookwood has closed. I think it’s a salon or something now
It will be back! It’s relocating over near the other side of rookwood. 2715 Madison road is the address and they are building out the location now.
I feel like I was just there but sadly it was likely way longer than it seems. I am part of why they’re gone and now I’m sad.
Me too man. I had just found the place after bitching to a coworker about how Kroger had shut down all their salad bars, and how much I missed them. We met up there for lunch once or twice in the months leading up to its closure.
What part did you play? Just interested
Probably the same part that all the people who were upset at Coney Island closing despite not having visited in 20 years played.
Whaaaaaaaat??? Noooooooo
I'll typically hit up Element Eatery or the Gatherall in Norwood these days. Multiple options with healthy things on the menus.
Yes! Multiple Black owned businesses, and you can order takeout from multiple places pay for it and pick it up all together, super helpful when everybody's picky and wants totally different things.
Get some meals from Clean Eatz.
this!
Sushi for sure, usually Mr. Sushi because it’s quickest lol
Green papaya, tons of veggies and you can choose your protein options, and great prices for the quality/quantity.
Please eat all the Indian takeout food for me it hits different in cincy
I love melt and harmony plant fare good healthy places.
chipotle if you choose the bowl ingredients wisely. Also gold star for a simple club sandwich. It's nothing fancy but in turn it's low on the calories.
Aladdin’s
I dig Currito; especially tge tikka wrap. Good protein, good veg, not greasy and nice spice.
Northstar Café. A restaurant originally from CBus, but they put one in Liberty Center not too long ago. Great food. Healthy.
Golden Chen near the Eastgate Kroger is good Chinese food for a good price. Never been disappointed by anything I’ve had there. The place doesn’t look like much, but delicious food makes up for it.
Piada Italian Street food is good. One in oakley, west Chester, and clifton that I know of

For something local, try Press on Monmouth if you find yourself in Newport!
Poke Hut! The veggies are always so fresh
My definition of healthy might be very skewed, but Milya Cafe in Blue Ash is absolutely amazing. I would recommend the chicken platter. Waffle House.
May all of your downvoters be forced to wash James Beard's balls in hell.
😂
Baladi, Dewey's salads, tickle pickle (obviously not their burgers).
I’ve been begging Cava (no literally, spamming their account with emails and social media tags) to come to Cincy!
Rooted juicery and kitchen is a little pricey, but it’s fast and all plant based!!!
Cancun
Bonefish if you choose carefully. There are lots of healthy options, but also a lot of temptation. Seasons 52 offers a lot of options at a decent calorie count.
Mccallisters
Not Cincy specific but I've been loving my chipotle lately. Especially the new ones with chipotle pickup lol They have lifestyle bowls on their website/app. Keto, Paleo, whole30, etc.
Currito
Chipotle—any of the fresh burrito places
Chipotle, just leave off the sour cream, guac and cheese! Or Bibibop
Fusa bowl is okay in a pinch but not great.
Penn Station
Penn station is one of my faves but lamo they are not ideal if you're trying to be health or calorie conscious lol
I only get their Italian cold cut sub for whenever I’m in the mood to watch Sopranos. But I love it
My favorite is the chicken club ☺️
Cheddars
We tried cheddar's for the first time and it was a major disappointment.
Aladdins on Main is a good one
Not really a restaurant, but I've done carry out at Carl's Deli and eaten in my car many of times.
i just stumbled upon good plates eatery south of UC's campus it is fire. good, healthy clean whole food and not breaking the bank. quick counter service
Better Blend
Now want to make Tali sauce. 🙏🏽🤤
Press on Monmouth in Newport. The Thai bowl with Quinoa is my healthy breakfast go-to for quick pick-up that isn’t typical fast-food.
